Will Michigan Lurch Far Left?
There are primaries today in multiple states. But the biggest election is the Democrat primary in Michigan. Running are Abdul El-Sayed and Haley Stevens. This will be the biggest test yet between a socialist, El-Sayed, and the establishment candidate, Stevens. Actually, I think President Trump’s description is more accurate. He sees it as a battle between a communist and a mere socialist. Millions of dollars have been spent to stop El-Sayed, but going into today, polls show him in the lead.
El-Sayed, consistent with his campaign, spent last night at a pool party attended by Jew-hating Hasan Piker, a left-wing streamer who despises America and Israel. El-Sayed and Piker campaigned together this past spring on Michigan University campuses. Piker is infamous for saying that America deserved the terrorist attack on September 11, 2001. He also has said the fall of Soviet communism was one of the greatest catastrophes of the 20th century and that Chinese mass murderer Mao Zedong was one of the greatest leaders of this world.
El-Sayed and allies like Piker are not “normal.” These are not just a couple of Democrats who don’t like Trump. They are outside of American historic and political traditions. An America under their control would be unsafe for people like us – for anyone who believes in a country under God. Our Constitution would be at risk.
For the most part, candidates like Abdul El-Sayed have won in large Democrat-controlled urban areas, but their support across America is growing. The reasons are complex, but one is simple. This is not Ronald Reagan’s America. Each year more young people, taught by socialists and Marxists professors, graduate. Mass migration over the last 35 years from third-world, often Muslim, countries has dramatically changed the electorate. Dearborn, Michigan, now looks more like a community in the feverish Middle East than in the heartland of America.
The political consensus is that if El-Sayed wins tonight, the chances of Republican Mike Rogers beating him in November will be good. I hope that is right, but there are no guarantees and it will be a close battle.
Enemies Within
The Democrat Socialists of America (DSA) held their annual “Socialist Summit” in Chicago over the weekend. You had to provide a negative COVID test to attend, which isn’t surprising. Attendees were addressed as “comrades.” It was the biggest exercise of government totalitarianism in modern memory, and they’re addicted to it. The socialists are putting together a plan to endorse, early, a 2028 Democrat presidential candidate. Insiders say the odds on favorite to win it is Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
There is a misconception among many, pushed by the media, that the Democrat Socialists of America really aren’t all that radical. Sure, Bernie Sanders seems like the crazy old uncle everyone tries to avoid at holiday get-togethers, but they’re just well-meaning, if misguided, folks at heart. WRONG!
Hear it in their own words: They are anti-Americanrevolutionarycommunists.
Here’s more evidence: More than a dozen DSA leaders have signed on to a pledge to promote and defend Communist China. Here are excerpts of the pledge, which begins with a massive lie:
“As Marxists, we believe that although capitalism has brought about unprecedented progress in the development of the productive forces, its expansion throughout the world has directly led to the most appalling crimes against humanity. . .
“As such, the continued survival of Chinese socialism is a crucial matter not only for the Chinese people but for all humanity. . . For the above reasons, we resolve to support, defend and build understanding of Chinese socialism.”
The truth is that communism has “directly led to the most appalling crimes against humanity,” not capitalism.
The party of Harry Truman and John F. Kennedy is dead. Today’s Democrat Party has been hijacked by communists and Islamists. Every conservative, every Christian, every patriot must vote this November!
