Tony Bobulinski, Hunter Biden's former business partner, spoke at length last night with Tucker Carlson. If you missed the interview, you can watch it here.
Bobulinksi is very well-spoken, well-educated and held a high-level security clearance during his military service. He is an extremely credible individual.
As we have previously reported, Bobulinski was frustrated by Joe Biden's repeated claims that he never discussed Hunter's business dealings with his son or anyone else. Bobulinski knew that wasn't true because he had met with Joe Biden at the urging of Hunter and Jim Biden, the former vice president's brother.
Bobulinski was biding his time, and stewing about the media's lack of interest in the Biden family's corruption. But he was compelled to go public when Rep. Adam Schiff accused him of being a part of a Russian disinformation campaign.
Bobulinksi is a patriot. He served in the Navy. His brother is a 28-year career Naval officer. His father served 20 years in the Navy. And his grandfather served 37 years as an Army Intelligence officer. Bobulinski isn't going to be smeared by the likes of Adam Schiff.
He was at the last presidential debate and had to resist the urge to call Joe Biden a liar when he again denied any knowledge of Hunter's corrupt foreign dealings. And his views on Joe Biden are clear. Bobulinski told Tucker Carlson:
"I think Joe Biden and the Biden family are compromised [by communist China] . . . I just don't see, given the history here and the facts, how Joe can't be influenced in some manner based on the history that they have here. . .
"So as a citizen and an American taxpayer, I'm very, very concerned. . . I think the American people should be demanding that this is investigated."
Carlson asked Bobulinski how his life has been impacted by his public stand against the Biden family. He said that he is hoping appropriate authorities will investigate his claims and that he will to able to "exit stage left." But he has received death threats, and the FBI has offered his family protection.
Instead, Bobulinski said former Navy SEALs are protecting his family. Reading between the lines it seems that he may not entirely trust the FBI, and it's not hard to see why. The Bureau had Hunter's laptop for a year and did not act.
It's Not About Hunter
I know some people are tempted to ask, "Why does any of this matter? Who cares what Hunter Biden did?"
Well, it's not about Hunter, and this isn't your typical October surprise.
This development exposes why Joe Biden has been so weak on communist China for so long. And it exposes how the families of America's political elites got rich doing business with China, while America's working-class families lost their jobs and got poorer.
I don't understand why Joe Biden has any reputation at all as a fighter for the working-class. Just read his slobbering praise for communist China:
"As a young member of a Foreign Relations Committee, I wrote and I said and I believed then what I believe now: That a rising China is a positive, positive development, not only for China but for America and the world writ large." – May 2011
"In order to cement this robust partnership, we have to go beyond close ties between Washington and Beijing, which we're working on every day, go beyond it to include all levels of government, go beyond it to include classrooms and laboratories, athletic fields and boardrooms." – August 2011
"China is going to eat our lunch? Come on, man. . . They're not bad folks, folks. But guess what: they're not competition for us." – May 2019
There's a lot more, but you get the point.
This isn't about Hunter. It's about Joe. This isn't an October surprise. It is why Trump ran and what he ran against four years ago.
Trump ran to put America first, and he ran against trade deals that sold out American workers. He ran against the corruption of the DC Swamp, and against the idea that China was some peaceful trading partner. It is not.
The communist Chinese regime runs a network of concentration camps. It is committing ethnic genocide.
It is forcing Christians to worship communist dictators.
It is routinely stealing our technology, spying on our government and our military, and even harassing dissidents in our country.
And Joe Biden says, "They're not bad folks."
As a former Obama defense secretary once put it, "[Joe Biden has] been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades."
America cannot risk a Joe Biden presidency.
Rioting continued for a second night in Philadelphia. More than 90 people have been arrested and 30 police officers have been injured. Violence also broke out in Washington, D.C., last night.
What sparked this latest round of riots?
There is looting in Philadelphia because a man who approached police officers while erratically waving a knife at them was shot. So naturally you run to the nearest Walmart, steal a big screen TV and grab whatever you can out of the cash registers.
The Pennsylvania National Guard was reportedly mobilized but had no visible presence on the streets.
Protests erupted in Washington, D.C., after officers attempted to stop a man who was riding on a moped without a helmet. He was struck by a car and killed – exactly what the police were trying to prevent, yet somehow it's their fault the man is dead.
Meanwhile, white Antifa demonstrators, socialists and BLM activists got into a fight over who was going to lead the sacking of Philadelphia, so they decided to go their separate ways and divide the plunder.
There's the left bringing us together again. Even their protests are segregated!
Well, this was predictable. As we approach Election Day, the hair-on-fire media is building up as much fear and panic about the coronavirus as it can muster. CNN is already stoking panic buying, urging people to "stock up" for the "coronavirus surge."
They are focused on the reported number of new cases while providing no context at all. If Biden wins this election, he will be under enormous pressure to shut the country down again, which he is inclined to do anyway.
But, as the Wall Street Journal notes, cases are rising even in states with strict mandates like New York. While hospitalizations are up, they are well below the spring peak.
And due to significant advances in treatments and medical protocols, deaths are way down. Reported COVID deaths yesterday were one-third of the April peak, even as we are reporting many more new cases every day.
Speaking of updates. . .
Carol and I have been overwhelmed by the incredible outpouring of prayers and encouragement for Zach. In addition to many of you emailing our office, more than 2,000 people offered prayers and encouragement on Facebook.
Zach appears to be slowly "turning the corner," and I know your prayers have helped tremendously.
Thank you, my friends!
