The Left’s Pro-Abortion Extremism
While America is struggling with crisis after crisis, the Democrat Party is obsessed with abortion on demand. They are all in on ensuring the maximum number of babies are destroyed in the womb.
They don’t care about the collapsing stock market or falling consumer confidence. They don’t care about declining confidence in our institutions or declining patriotism. The only decline that really worries Democrats is the possibility that there might be fewer abortions in America.
Once upon a time, Democrats claimed that abortions should be “rare.” Not anymore! They are now proudly pro-abortion.
While conservatives argue over who is the strongest on national defense, the toughest against illegal immigration or who will cut taxes the most, Democrats fight over who can guarantee the most dead babies.
For example, California Gov. Gavin Newsom vowed to make his state an “abortion sanctuary.” How ghoulish and disgusting!
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul seems to be on a mission to make Andrew Cuomo look good. She recently urged President Joe Biden to turn veterans’ hospitals and military bases in pro-life states into abortion mills.
There’s considerable irony here. In every war since Vietnam, the left has accused U.S. soldiers of being “baby killers.” Now they want to bring the baby killing directly onto military bases, and they are proud of it!
Did it ever cross Hochul’s mind that our military, already struggling with a recruitment crisis, would be committing suicide if it became known as the place to get abortions on demand?
Democrats have been worried about the militarization of American society. They tried to cut off military equipment to police departments. They didn’t want a tank in a July Fourth parade. But they want to use the American military to kill our preborn babies.
Pro-Life America
Ever since Justice Samuel Alito’s draft opinion in the Dobbs case was leaked two months ago, we’ve been deluged with polls purporting to show that American people oppose the decision overturning Roe v. Wade. Democrats are betting everything that they can prevail in the midterm elections if they can turn them into a referendum on abortion.
As usual, the left-wing media provide absolutely no context to the polls. Most Americans aren’t constitutional scholars and don’t fully understand all the legal implications of Roe. They also don’t support abortion on demand, which is Joe Biden’s position and the official position of the Democrat Party.
That’s why the latest Harvard/Harris poll is so revealing.
For example, the poll finds that 55% of Americans say they oppose the Dobbs decision. You probably saw that in a headline recently. But when it comes to specific policies, here’s what the American people say they support:
- 37% support state laws banning abortions except in the cases of rape and incest.
- Another 12% would ban abortions after six weeks when a heartbeat is detected.
- And an additional 23% support banning abortions after 15 weeks, which was the Mississippi law at the heart of the Dobbs case.
Combined, that’s 72% of the country in favor of pro-life policies strictly limiting abortions. And, in spite of all the hyperbolic rhetoric from the left, 60% of self-identified Democrats support those restrictions!
Only 10% of Americans support the extreme position of abortion on demand through all nine months of pregnancy. Again, that is Joe Biden’s position.
Once again, the media is failing to tell the full story, while providing cover for the Democrats’ pro-abortion extremism.

Attacking The Constitution
Professor Rosa Brooks of Georgetown University Law School is making headlines for her view of the Constitution. During an interview on MSNBC this week, Brooks declared:
“We are essentially slaves to a document that was written more than 230 years ago by a tiny group of white slave-owning men. And we cannot break out of the bondage that we have imposed on ourselves. . . everything by our Supreme Court is decided in reference to this ancient document which is just not serving us well.”
Not long ago, a professor saying such things would have been fired as unqualified to teach at one of America’s premier law schools. But today, it gets you interviews on cable news networks, and naive students pay more than $100,000 a year to be taught such nonsense!
Even more disturbing, is the fact that her view seems to be the prevailing view of the American left and the Democrat Party.
Remember when Nancy Pelosi laughed off questions about Obamacare’s constitutionality? Another frequent MSNBC commentator recently called the Constitution “trash.”
It’s hard to think of a provision of the Constitution that Democrats aren’t attacking or undermining.
They are at war with the First Amendment’s guarantee of the free exercise of religion, with the freedom of speech and the right to assemble. They are at war with the Second Amendment right to own a firearm to protect your family.
Progressives and many neocons are at war with the separation of powers and the safeguards the Founders intentionally put into the Constitution to prohibit large states from dictating their values on every state in the union.
A day rarely goes by when some prominent leftist doesn’t call for the Senate to be changed or abolished altogether, for the Supreme Court to be changed or for the Electoral College to be abolished.
The whole point of the leftist insurrection against our Constitution and our republican form of government is so they can eviscerate all the checks and balances, including the filibuster, in order to impose their radical agenda on America.
And of course, they are also at war with America’s founding and our history all at the same time.
Is there another free country in the world in which a significant political party is at war against its own country, its history and its system of government?
Is there another free country in the world where its elites viciously attack it on their most significant national holiday? Does this happen in France on Bastille Day?
In addition to attacking the Constitution, the left is also undermining the concept of citizenship. Joe Biden’s open border policies are an obvious surrender of our national sovereignty, allowing millions of illegal aliens to enter the country.
At the same time, New York City and other left-wing cities are trying to let non-citizens vote in our elections. And the Biden Justice Department is in court right now trying to strike down an Arizona law that requires proof of citizenship when you register to vote.
Why on earth would Biden’s Justice Department want to stop Arizona from ensuring that its elections are secure and free of voter fraud? What does that tell you?
The left is running around right now with its hair on fire screaming about threats to democracy. Well, there’s no greater threat to democracy than compromised elections!
The Intolerant, Lying Left
Bette Midler has been a liberal, gay icon her entire career. But now the left’s insanity has proven too much, even for her. She tweeted this week:
“WOMEN OF THE WORLD! We are being stripped of . . . our lives and even of our name! They don’t call us ‘women’ anymore; they call us ‘birthing people’ or ‘menstruators’ and even ‘people with vaginas’! Don’t let them erase you!”
Midler wasn’t alone. Singer Macy Gray, hardly a right-wing conservative, said in an interview this week, “I will say this, and everyone’s going to hate me, but, as a woman: Just because you go change your parts doesn’t make you a woman. Sorry. I know that for a fact.”
Well, the fact is she’s right. DNA doesn’t change. And, of course, the intolerant left, which now insists we must speak lies by calling some men “women” or “she,” is going nuts.
I am reminded of a quote by the great Russian dissident and philosopher Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn: “The simple step of a courageous individual is not to take part in the lie.”
