Iran Planned Drone Attack On U.S. Bombers
We’re learning more about the Iranian plot to attack Fairford Air Force Base in the United Kingdom. Once again, Israeli intelligence helped to prevent what would have been a disastrous multipronged attack against U.S. forces.
Iran recruited British nationals willing to commit acts of jihad on British soil. The plot involved creating a diversion in a nearby village while car bombs hit the perimeter of the base. Then, armed drones would be launched from British territory! U.S. bombers sitting on the tarmac would be destroyed.
Just think about what could have happened. B-1, B-2 and B-52 bombers flew out of the Fairford base for missions in Iran. Billions of dollars of U.S. military equipment would have been lost, and an untold number of British and American military personnel could have been killed.
As a result of the plot’s sophistication, all U.S. bombers at Fairford returned to the United States this week.
Lessons Learned
Say whatever you want about the timing of our conflict with Iran, but we already have learned something extremely important that we would not have otherwise known. Warfare advantages have changed silently. And the Pentagon, like all government bureaucracies, has been locked in the past.
Under Barack Obama and Joe Biden, the Pentagon was mostly focused on increasing the number of homosexuals in leadership and recruiting more trans troops in the military. Planning to win future wars was an afterthought at best.
But we have seen how the use of drones has allowed Ukraine to battle Russia, a much larger country, to a draw. The use of drones throughout the Middle East has exposed the vulnerability every American base in the region.
The potential use of drones has caused us to evacuate a significant portion of our air power out of a NATO “ally” because it’s no longer considered safe.
Now, take all that and try to process what it means in a war with Communist China over Taiwan. Our whole strategy is based on pre-positioned forces in places like Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, etc.
This is how we have been able to maintain relative peace in the world. These bases act as “tripwires” and buy time to hold off some aggressive power until we can mobilize additional reinforcements. But does that strategy survive in the age of drones?
The lights will be burning late at many desks in the Pentagon on how to fix this quickly.
AOC’s Chilling Analysis
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just said something that should be a wake-up call to us. The event was a fundraiser she held for Michigan Democrat Senate candidate Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed in New York City yesterday. Here’s what she told the room full of wealthy Democrat donors about the meaning for the whole country of an El-Sayed victory in November:
“What we do is that we break open the entire political calculus in America—period. Because . . . if Abdul can win in Michigan, anybody can win anywhere. Anywhere.”
This race in Michigan is the forerunner to a Marxist/Islamist political takeover of America, not through revolution but through elections. The demographic profile of Michigan is not significantly different than the profiles of Ohio, Pennsylvania and many other Middle America states. But mass migration from Third World countries, including Islamic migration to places like Dearborn, makes El-Sayed a formidable candidate.
Michigan also has many college graduates, especially young women, who have been indoctrinated into socialism by socialist faculties. As a result, the Democrat Party will rally around an antisemitic Marxist Muslim candidate.
This doesn’t need to be a revolution. The Marxists/Islamists will win at the polls.
Every Word Is A Lie
El-sayed was interviewed on Fox News yesterday. He lied so many times I lost count. But he does it so smoothly. Often multiple times in the same sentence!
When asked about his anti-Israel, anti-American buddy, Hasan Piker, El-Sayed was ready. He never used Piker’s name and acted like he barely remembered him.
He brushed off the question, saying, “I was just doing interviews with him like I’m doing an interview with you. I just want to get my message out, which is we can’t be fighting wars like this and we should be taking care of people’s education and healthcare.” When he said this, El-Sayed turned away from his Fox News host, looked directly into the camera and spoke to voters in Michigan and across America.
El-Sayed and Mike Rogers are scheduled to debate each other later this week. Rogers had better be ready for verbal combat. If he isn’t, El-Sayed will eat him alive.
I still occasionally run into a GOP strategist who says, “Well, Gary, on the bright side, if El-Sayed wins, he’ll hurt the Democrat Party going into to 2028.” NO! NO! NO! That 1980s logic just doesn’t apply anymore. What was once the far-left fringe is now the mainstream of the Democrat Party. That’s why someone like El-Sayed won the Democrat primary!
ACTION NEEDED! You Can Do Something To Stop El-Sayed
If you have a friend, family member or business associate who lives in Michigan, here’s what you can do. If you know they’re a crazy leftist, don’t waste your time.
But if the person is a normal American who might have a different opinion about marginal tax rates or trade policy but agrees with us that America remains the hope of the world, reach out to them. Give them a call or send them an email.
After you’ve had a chance to catch up, say, “Hey, while we’re on the phone, I’ve been reading about this El-Sayed guy. I don’t know if you’ve made up your mind, but please don’t vote for him. He’ll be a disaster for our country.”
Don’t Empower The Deep State
An abuse of power far worse than Watergate has been uncovered. Unfortunately, the media doesn’t want you to know about it because Jack Smith is the Left’s scandal.
Smith’s investigation of President Trump was eventually shut down because he was illegally appointed by Joe Biden’s attorney general. But in that illegal position, Smith fully weaponized the justice system against Donald Trump, his family and his supporters.
He spied on Susie Wiles’s phone calls with her lawyer. He had FBI agents following Melania and Baron Trump. He spied on the phone calls of Republican members of Congress. All of this was done to make Donald Trump and the rest of us criminals.
Have we already forgotten how close we were to having the entire legal and law enforcement apparatus turned against us? Have we already forgotten how the Biden regime turned concerned parents at school board meetings into “domestic terrorists” and sent the FBI into conservative churches?
That alone should drive every conservative to vote against the Deep State Democrats!
The Left and the Democrat Party want a final election—one more election after which they will never lose again. That’s what mass migration is all about. They want to change the population of the country to such an extent that it will be impossible for any Republican to win again.
Another Lab Leak
History doesn’t repeat, but it does rhyme. There has been a lab leak of a deadly plague at a Russian research facility in Siberia. One person is dead, and 200 people have been quarantined. We’re relying on information from Vladimir Putin’s Russia, just like we had to rely on Xi’s Communist China for details about COVID-19.
Isn’t it amazing how these things keep happening around election time?
