Tuesday, June 9, 2026 -- Primary Day, The Left's Affordability Scam, Vance Fights Fraud

Primary Day

Voters in four states—Maine, Nevada, North Dakota and South Carolina—are casting their primary ballots today. The Senate race in Maine, and the Democrat primary in particular, has captured the nation’s attention with Graham Platner’s “scandals du jour.”

A former top aide to his campaign published an opinion piece in today’s Washington Post explaining why he is unfit to serve in the Senate.

It will be interesting to see how many votes Gov. Janet Mills receives in the Democrat primary against Platner. While Mills suspended her campaign weeks ago, her name is still on the ballot.

That could prove an enticing option for voters repulsed by Nazi tattoos, domestic abuse, bizarre sexual exploits, praise for terrorists and the mocking of our veterans. It would be embarrassing for Platner (if he is capable of being embarrassed) and national Democrats if Mills gets a sizable “protest” vote.

Democrat Dog Whistles

The New York Post editorial board notes that while Democrats are constantly hearing imaginary so-called “dog whistles” or signals of bigotry on the Right, they are completely deaf when it comes to actual dog whistles on the Left, particularly antisemitism.

For example, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) has been highly critical of Platner and his fellow Democrats who defend him. Platner’s response to Fetterman was “You’ve become a stooge for AIPAC.” (AIPAC lobbies for pro-Israel policies.) In other words, Platner’s go-to scapegoat is “The Jews! The Jews! The Jews!” Of course, he doesn’t say it that way. He’s probably restrained by his Nazi tattoo.

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) was in Maine this past weekend campaigning for Platner. Khanna, who is often presented as a “moderate,” is all in for Platner. He told the residents of Maine that Platner is “telling the truth about the billionaire class, about the Epstein class, about AIPAC, about foreign wars.”

What does the “Epstein class” even mean? The dog whistle here is intentional. He is saying wealthy Jews are getting America into foreign wars to benefit Israel. (Ironically, wealthy Jews generally vote for Democrats!)

There is a sickness spreading like a wildfire within the Democrat Party. The longer they wait to deal with this metastasizing cancer of antisemitism, the harder it will be to confront it.

It is so obvious that every decent person should be alarmed by it. And Platner is certainly not alone.

The leading candidate in Michigan’s Democrat Senate primary “struggles” with the question of Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state. So, too, does Zohran Mamdani’s endorsed candidate in New York’s 13th Congressional District, as well as the Texas Democrat who wanted to put Zionists in jail

I doubt any of them “struggle” with Egypt’s right to exist as a Muslim state or Iran’s right to exist as an Islamic state or any of the 21 other nations where Islam is the official state religion.

The Left’s Affordability Scam

House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries is reportedly developing an “affordability agenda” that will address costs in five key areas—housing, gas and utilities, groceries and goods, caregiving and healthcare. He has assigned various Democrat House members to lead “working groups” in each area.

Guess who Jeffries picked to lead the healthcare working group? There are six House Democrats who have medical degrees. Anyone of them would have been a logical choice. So, of course, Jeffries chose Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC).

As far as I know, there is only one transgender member of Congress, Rep. “Sarah” McBride (D-DE), and Jeffries just put him in charge of “caregiving.”

I obviously missed the meeting. When did the former New York City bartender become an expert in healthcare? When did the man dealing with a mental illness become an expert on caregiving? The answer to both questions is—never.

Jeffries is signaling that AOC is the future of the Democrat Party. Her only position on healthcare is the position of today’s Democrat Party, which is that healthcare must be taken over by the government.

We were just informed that Social Security, as it is currently constituted, will face a fiscal crisis in six years. In an age of unsustainable deficits, Democrats want even more government spending on healthcare.

They have no solutions for healthcare. Their last “solution” was the cruelly misnamed “Affordable Care Act,” aka Obamacare. It was supposed to solve everything. It solved nothing. Healthcare is more expensive than ever!

By the way, there is no such thing as “free healthcare.” Democrats campaign on “Medicare for All.” Well, there are premiums and deductibles in Medicare, in addition to all the taxes that are collected to pay for it.

As for McBride, he has no background in caregiving at all. He has been an LGBTQ activist his whole life. So, what’s that about? It’s another signal by Jeffries.

The Democrat Party is not going to budge on its gender insanity ideology. They fought to the death to put a woman on the Supreme Court who didn’t know what a woman is. Now, they’ve put McBride in charge of caregiving. They’re telling you, “This is what we’re committed to, America. What are you going to do about it?”

Vance Fights Fraud

Vice President J.D. Vance just referred Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison to the Justice Department for criminal investigations. Vance’s referrals come as the House Oversight Committee released the findings of its months-long investigation into Minnesota’s epidemic of fraud.

Chairman James Comer (R-KY) said:

"Billions of dollars were stolen because Minnesota state leaders turned a blind eye to rampant fraud and retaliated against state employees who dared to raise concerns. It is now clear the Walz Administration chose to protect the system rather than protect the taxpayer.”

Minnesota is the poster state for fraud. The corruption that Walz—Kamala Harris’s running mate—and Ellison winked at affected every aspect of the state government—Medicaid, welfare, housing, child care, food stamps and even aid to children with disabilities

But, as we’re told by the media, there is no possible way that any fraud impacted the state’s election system. Somehow, with fraud everywhere else, the election system remained pristine.

After all, it’s not like anyone can just walk in and vote without an ID or ever being registered in Minnesota. Oh, wait, you can

What we’re seeing in places like Minnesota, what we just saw in Los Angeles and what we saw when the Chicago Bears decided to move to Indiana is that the Left’s paradigm of socialism, moving towards Marxism, wedded to radical Islam is failing everywhere it is in charge.

The failure is all around them. People dodging human excrement on sidewalks. Elections that go on for weeks with inexplicable changes in the outcome. Billions of dollars disappearing to fraud and ending up in the hands of terrorists. But they’re not going to change the paradigm and they’re not going to be stopped by elections.

I don’t have a good answer other than to put people in jail because laws are being broken. But I suspect that won’t solve it either, which is why I remain concerned that America, just like Western Europe, is on a path to unimaginable problems.

We Must Respond

There were reports this morning that a U.S. Army Apache helicopter crashed off the coast of Oman while on patrol near the Strait of Hormuz. Thankfully, both crew members were rescued by a U.S. Navy drone boat.

This afternoon, President Trump announced that the helicopter did not crash. It was shot down by Iran. In a Truth Social post, the president wrote:

“I have just been informed by our Great Military that last night the Iranians shot down one of our highly sophisticated Apache Helicopters while patrolling over the Strait of Hormuz. There were two pilots involved, both are safe and uninjured. Nevertheless, the United States must, of necessity, respond to this attack.”

Saving Our Children

A preborn child’s life was terminated a few days ago by an abortionist hired by the child’s parents. Sadly, this happens in great numbers every day in America. But the death of this particular child has caused a stir, mainly because of who the father is.
