Biden’s Border Chaos

 

Border communities and many other communities across the country are bracing for the worst as Title 42 authority ends tonight at midnight.

 

Title 42 is an emergency CDC order that allows immigration officials to quickly deport illegal aliens.  It was put into effect in order to safeguard public health during the COVID-19 pandemic. 

 

Americans overwhelmingly support Title 42, and they are frustrated by the fact that this “emergency” authority isn’t standard operating procedure.  It should be, but powerful interests, including the globalist left, want open borders.

 

If public health really is a serious concern, there’s a strong case to be made for keeping Title 42 in place.

 

But the Biden Administration is more committed to open borders than it is to commonsense border security, national security or even public health.  Biden has been trying to end Title 42 since the day he took office.  The federal courts blocked him from ending it last May.

 

To “prepare” for the inevitable overwhelming surge of migrants across the border, the Biden Administration is telling our Border Patrol agents and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials to start “rapidly releasing noncitizens.”  Just let them go.

 

Jeh Johnson, Barack Obama’s secretary of Homeland Security, blasted Biden’s policy during an interview on MSNBC yesterday.  Johnson said:

 

“If we’re releasing people without giving them [court dates] and without tracking them, that’s a big problem. . .  I do also believe that, in the most powerful nation on earth, the American public should have the expectation that we can track who’s entering our country, and we can, to some degree, secure our perimeter.” 

 

The American people have that expectation, but Joe Biden doesn’t care. 

 

The Border Patrol has apprehended more than 10,000 illegal aliens a day for the past three days in a row.  That works out to more than 3.6 million additional illegal aliens entering our country over the next year.  That’s insane!

 

Mayor Lori Lightfoot just declared a state of emergency because the sanctuary city of Chicago can’t handle the burden of more illegal aliens.  Mayor Eric Adams says that New York City “is being destroyed by [Biden’s] migrant crisis.”

 

At a town hall event in New Hampshire last night, former President Donald Trump warned that the end of Title 42 “is going to be a day of infamy.”  He’s right.  And it is entirely the fault of the Biden/Harris Administration, the open borders Democrat Party and corporate multinationals.

 

 

 

Trump vs. Collins

 

Last night, Donald Trump participated in what was supposed to be a town hall event where Republican voters in New Hampshire could pose questions to the leading 2024 Republican presidential candidate.  But it was really a debate between Trump and CNN “moderator” Kaitlin Collins.

 

Collins was overly aggressive and combative from the beginning, and she never let up.  Her demeanor was a clear indication that the media still struggle with Trump Derangement Syndrome.

 

I know some people are turned off by the drama, but the drama isn’t Trump’s fault.  The drama is the left’s insane reaction to Trump.  But I promise you – there will be drama no matter who we nominate!

 

Last night, Donald Trump did not raise his voice, and he did not lose his temper, although Collins really did her best to provoke him.

 

There were two sentences I wish Trump could have avoided last night.  I wish he had not referred to Gov. Ron DeSantis as “DeSanctimonious,” and I wish he hadn’t called Collins a “nasty person.”

 

But if Joe Biden was ever subjected to the level of hostility, disrespect and aggressive questioning that Trump endured, he’d have a total meltdown. 

 

There is no way he could handle the rapid-fire interruptions and shrillness that Trump put up with for 60-plus minutes, and he could have gone on for another 60 minutes!

 

By the way, the Trump campaign was only allowed to invite 15 people and they were not allowed to ask questions.  The rest of the audience was handpicked by CNN and yet the audience loved him.

 

 

 

Trump Stands For Life

 

Predictably, the abortion issue came up at last night’s town hall.  Trump said the Dobbs decision was a “great victory” that essentially freed pro-life states from the legal shackles of Roe v. Wade.

 

Trump said the pro-life movement and Republican presidents had tried for 50 years to overturn Roe, but he got it done.  And he praised the conservative justices he appointed who were essential to that pro-life decision.

 

While noting that he supports the same exceptions as Ronald Reagan (life of the mother, rape and incest), Trump also attacked the pro-abortion extremism of people like Hillary Clinton, who would “kill the baby in the ninth month.”  That’s exactly what every Republican should do whenever this issue comes up.

 

 

 

Left-wing Lunacy

 

Trump’s performance at last night’s town hall really triggered the left.  Many Democrats and progressives viciously attacked CNN for hosting the event, proving just how intolerant the left is when it comes to free speech.

 

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez tweeted, “CNN should be ashamed of themselves.” 

 

The most unhinged response came from Rick Wilson.  Some media outlets continue to describe Wilson as a Republican, but he is a deranged leftist.  I can’t quote Wilson in this report because his response was so vile.  But if you have a strong stomach and no kids around, you can watch it here. 

 

 

 

Kudos To Kevin, Boos For Bernie

 

As the world celebrates the 75th anniversary of the modern state of Israel, Rep. Rashida Tlaib isn’t in a celebratory mood.  She planned to host a “Nakba Day” event on Capitol Hill instead. 

 

Nakba in Arabic is translated as “disaster” or “catastrophe.”  That’s how militant Palestinians and anti-Israel extremists describe the creation of the modern Jewish state – as a “disaster” or a “catastrophe.”

 

As soon as Speaker Kevin McCarthy got word of Tlaib’s event, scheduled to be held in the Capitol Visitors Center, he stepped in and canceled it.  McCarthy declared:

 

"It’s wrong for members of Congress to traffic in anti-Semitic tropes about Israel.  As long as I’m Speaker, we are going to support Israel’s right to self-determination and self-defense, unequivocally and in a bipartisan fashion."

 

Good for him!

 

Unfortunately, Vermont’s socialist senator, Bernie Sanders, intervened.  Sanders turned over the Senate’s Health, Education Labor and Pensions Committee room to Tlaib, which he has the authority to do as the chairman of the HELP Committee.

 

Senator Jackey Rosen (D-NV) condemned Tlaib, saying, “Calling the establishment of the world’s only Jewish state a ‘catastrophe’ is deeply offensive, and I strongly disagree with allowing this event to be held on Capitol Hill.”

 

William Daroff, CEO of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, denounced the event, saying, “It is outrageous that the hallowed halls of Congress would be used to promulgate the false narratives and historical revisionism of Israel-haters.”

 

Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of Anti-Defamation League, called on the Senate to “condemn this event.”

 

Unbelievably, reports indicate that Tlaib’s event was packed, “standing room-only. . .  with attendees spilling out into the hallway.”

 

If there really are that many anti-Semites roaming the halls of Congress, I urge Speaker McCarthy and Majority Leader Schumer to put resolutions on the floor of the House and Senate as soon as possible denouncing “Nabka Day” events and reaffirming Congress’s strong support for Israel.

 

I’m sure our Israeli allies would appreciate the gesture as they are, once again, under siege from the militant forces of Palestinian Islamic Jihad and other Iranian-backed terrorist proxies.
