Follow The Money

The protests and riots erupting around the country against the enforcement of our immigration laws are not “organic” or “spontaneous” events. They are part of a coordinated and well-financed criminal and Marxist insurrection against the United States of America. 

All kinds of far-left, radical groups are inciting these riots. While they have varied agendas, the one thing they have in common is that they don’t like the America we love and they mean to “fundamentally transform” it. 

Here are some things you need to know.

USA Today reporters recently visited cities all along the southern border from Texas to southern California on a fact-finding mission. The conclusion of their extensive investigation was summed up in this headline: “For The First Time In Decades, The US-Mexico Border Is Silent.”

That’s music to our ears! And it did not require an amnesty or “comprehensive immigration reform.” It only required a new president with the will to enforce our laws. 

But you know who isn’t celebrating that headline? The drug cartels and human traffickers. They’re furious. Joe Biden was a huge boon to their illicit and immoral “business.” The cartels made $13 billion in 2022 alone thanks to Biden’s open borders.

Now, their cash flow has been massively interrupted. So, they are one of the forces stoking the riots in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Antonio. (See below.)

Left-wing unions are behind the riots. Service Employees International Union (SEIU) California President David Huerta was among those arrested for obstructing federal immigration enforcement operations. The SEIU is one of the most radical Big Labor unions.

The far-left teachers’ unions are all in on the riots, including Randi Weingarten, president of the American Federation of Teachers. Weingarten led the charge to shut down our schools during the pandemic. Who could have applauded such a stupid idea? Communist China applauded. Weingarten’s demand to close our schools inflicted irreversible damage on our children.

Socialists and Marxists are another major force fomenting violence and unrest. Protesters in Las Vegas carried professionally produced signs featuring the communist hammer and sickle with the words, “Bring Back The Guillotine.” 

The Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) is one of the primary organizations behind the riots. Its goal is to destroy capitalism. On its website, the PSL declares, “We are united in our belief that capitalism . . . is the source of the main problems confronting humanity today. It must be replaced by socialism.” 

Working closely with a network of Marxist organizations, including the ANSWER Coalition and the People’s Forum, the PSL is mass-producing signs and organizing mobs around the country.

The evidence is overwhelming that foreign money from places like communist China is funding these groups and the riots. Several senators, including Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley, are determined to expose the foreign influences propping up these domestic enemies. 

I am also pleased to report that FBI Director Kash Patel is looking into potential sources of funding for the riots. I hope his investigation leads to many arrests and prosecutions. It’s certainly a far better use of FBI resources than spying on parents and churches.

Media Malfeasance

When there is a conservative demonstration, which rarely happens, the media will go looking for the one kook in the crowd who is espousing extreme views to discredit the entire conservative movement. 

But when it comes to leftist riots, it’s the exact opposite. They do everything they can to make excuses and provide cover for the radical extremists looting businesses, burning cars, and assaulting law enforcement officers.

Speaking of radical extremists, environmental activist Isra Hirsi recently posted this message on social media: “From L.A. to Rafah, there is one common oppressor. Death to the colonial empire,” meaning “Death to America and death to Israel.”

Hirsi, by the way, is the daughter of Rep. Ilhan Omar. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree!

Honoring His Oath 

When President Trump took the oath of office, he swore to ensure that the laws of the United States were “faithfully executed.” That is what he is doing by enforcing our immigration laws. 

Gavin Newsom and other Democrat politicians are upset that Trump is enforcing the law. They are accusing him of going after “hard-working taxpayers.” They insist he should only go after criminals. There’s a big problem with that argument.

All of the politicians making that argument refuse to cooperate with federal immigration police when they try to go after criminal aliens. We’ve even seen a leftist judge try to smuggle a wife beater out of her court so immigration police could not detain and deport him!

One recent study found that “sanctuary” jurisdictions denied 25,000 detainer requests by immigration officers to hold criminal aliens so they could be taken into custody and deported. California alone accounted for 13,000 of these denials. 

Just to be clear, that means state and local officials knew they had criminal aliens in their custody, but they chose to release them -- 25,000 of them -- into their communities rather than deport them. That’s putting Americans LAST! 

These are not just minor offenses. Over a two-year period, sanctuary jurisdictions released 72 criminal aliens with murder convictions or charges. 

Three “sanctuary state” governors were raked over the coals by House Republicans today during a heated congressional hearing on their disastrous policies.

There wouldn’t be so many “raids” if federal immigration police could call up the LAPD or the Boston Police Department and say, “We know 10 illegal aliens are in your city at this address who have committed crimes. Let’s go get them.”

But they can’t do that. So, they have to put together teams of dozens of agents, often with no police backup to assist them to raid and arrest the illegal aliens.

Here’s a fact that provides desperately needed context, but has largely been ignored by the media. 

The first immigration enforcement operation that triggered the Los Angeles riots wasn’t just an “immigration raid.” According to Border Czar Tom Homan:

“[Immigration Customs Enforcement] was serving criminal warrants in a serious investigation into money transfers to Mexican cartels as part of an overall conspiracy. ICE was arresting bad people and following up on a criminal investigation into car theft financing. ICE took dangerous people off the street that day.”

The cartel conspiracy involved $87 million in goods and $17 million in tax evasion. Among the “dangerous people” arrested in that operation were multiple child sexual predators, convicted rapists and domestic abusers, and “a Vietnamese national wanted for murdering two teenagers.”

But the Left wants you to believe that Donald Trump, Tom Homan, and our federal immigration police are the bad guys.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said yesterday that 330 illegal aliens have been arrested for rioting in Los Angeles, and 113 are so stupid they were rioting in the streets even though they had previous criminal convictions!

Liberal White Privilege

There was a very telling interaction during one of the anti-law enforcement protests this week. A New York City mother was driving to work when she was suddenly blocked by a mob of protesters in the street. 

She got out of her car to beg two of them who were in her way to let her through because she had to get to work. One of the protesters mocked her, sarcastically saying, “Oh no, work. I care so much.” 

The mother was black and the protesters mocking her for feeling a responsibility to get to her job to support her family were white. They had complete disdain for what a normal American does on any day of the week. How’s that for liberal white privilege?

This exchange is a prime example of why Donald Trump did so well with minority voters in 2024. White leftists, who believe in open borders, who believe men can get pregnant, and who insist on calling Hispanics “Latinx,” are driving minority voters to the GOP!

Flag Fracas

I can’t tell you how many people I have run into who are furious about all the Mexican flags waving in our streets while American flags are burned. But there’s nothing to worry about because the intrepid journalists at the New York Times have written a helpful article to clear it all up for us. [Sarcasm Alert.]

The Times told us that illegal aliens waving the Mexican flag and other foreign flags is just about “honoring their heritage,” “representing their Chicano roots rather than a national allegiance,” and also “a matter of cultural pride.” And there’s nothing wrong with that. Unless it’s an American flag. 

The New York Times once declared that the American flag “is now alienating to some, its stripes now fault lines between people. . .” One member of the Times’s editorial board said she was “really disturbed” by seeing American flags on pickup trucks.

What? Seeing your fellow citizens with American flags disturbs you? 

And, of course, the Left says anyone flying the “Appeal To Heaven” flag must be a domestic terrorist.
