Tragedy In Bend

Yesterday, a deranged 16-year-old shot his way through the locked doors of an elementary school in Bend, Oregon. Once inside, he murdered three young children and a teacher. A disabled child in a wheelchair who was shot in the face and another teacher were critically injured. The youngest victim—five years old—had just started kindergarten last month. 

Our hearts are broken over this senseless atrocity. Our deepest condolences and prayers are with those grieving families. 

While his motive remains unknown, the killer has been identified as a former student of the elementary school. Where did this monster get the idea that it would be “really cool” to kill innocent children? I have no doubt that the pro-abortion “culture of death” that treats pre-born children as disposable bears a lot of responsibility. 

There is still much we don’t know. But we do know this: The shooter was taken down by a courageous citizen with a concealed carry permit. This hero, the father of two students at the school, bravely chased the shooter into the school and stopped his murderous rampage. 

Thank God he was there! Please keep this man in your prayers. According to his brother, he is “riddled with guilt for not saving more people.” Police arrived within minutes of the first 911 call, but who knows how many more precious lives would have been lost during those minutes if this hero father hadn’t been there.

Once again, a good guy with a gun stopped the bad guy who targeted innocent children in a “gun-free zone.” This happens far more than gun-grabbing Democrats and their anti-Second Amendment allies will ever admit. 

Revenge Of The RINOs

With so much on the line over the next 18 days and so much at stake for our country, it is absolutely infuriating that some RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) seem to be doing everything they can to ensure that far-left Democrats win this election. 

Yesterday afternoon, President Trump went RINO hunting. He specifically called out Sen. John Cornyn and Karl Rove for attempting to sabotage Ken Paxton’s campaign. Rove can’t wait to blame any midterm losses on the president, and Cornyn can’t wait to blame a Talarico victory on Paxton.

In typical Trump fashion, the president held nothing back in his Truth Social post, writing:

“Sadly, and very stupidly, John Cornyn, and his Liddle’ Buddy, Super RINO, Karl Rove, are doing everything possible to make it hard for Ken Paxton, the Greatest Attorney General in the History of Texas, and one of the Best in the United States, to win the upcoming Midterm Election against a Radical Left Lunatic, James TalaFREAKO, who is the ANTITHESIS of Texas Values. 

“John Cornyn who, after my Endorsement, lost the Primary to Ken by a very wide margin, and Karl Rove, who shouldn’t be allowed to spew his jealousy on Fox News, should be ashamed of themselves. They are hurting Texas and, more importantly, hurting the United States of America! 

“If Ken Paxton loses, it will be because of WEAK and INEFFECTIVE Political Hacks like John Cornyn and Karl Rove, who have ineffectively opposed me for my entire political career.”

President Trump concluded his message by urging all Republicans to unite behind Paxton to prevent “James TalaFREAKO” from taking this “must-win” seat from the GOP.

If Republicans lose on November 3rd, it won’t be Donald Trump’s fault. The president’s party almost always loses congressional seats in midterm elections—even when the president has a positive job approval rating above 50%. 

The most widely accepted explanation for this is simply apathy—the president’s supporters get complacent while the opposition is fired up. In 1994, Democrats under Bill Clinton lost 54 House seats. In 2010 under Obama, Democrats lost 63 House seats. 

Everything Is Racist

I know there are some very good, dedicated teachers in our public schools who truly want what is best for their students and work hard every day to help them thrive. But their union—the National Education Association—is absolutely insane! It was hijacked by Marxists and left-wing lunatics years ago. 

Here’s the latest evidence: The NEA thinks sex education is racist and full of “white supremacy.” 

As with other professions, teachers are encouraged to take professional development courses, presumably to hone their skills and make them better teachers. More often than not, it’s just more left-wing indoctrination. The NEA is partnering with an organization that provides the following training sessions: 

• Strategies for Dismantling White Supremacy in Sex Ed
• Addressing White Privilege When Teaching Sex Ed
• Intersectionality and Sex Ed
• Racial Microaggressions in Sex Ed

I’m sure it will come as no surprise that this organization also encourages teachers to let students choose their own names and pronouns without parental consent or notification. Teachers are actually instructed to get the student’s consent before discussing gender identity issues with their parents! That’s completely backwards!

And, of course, teachers are told to use only “affirming and inclusive language” and to shut down any “harmful language” (meaning common sense) when discussing transgender ideology.

Elections have consequences. The Biden/Harris regime was so committed to radical gender ideology that it even threatened to take school lunches away from hungry children if any school resisted demands to allow boys in girls’ bathrooms. 

President Trump and congressional Republicans are fighting this gender insanity. But if Democrats regain power, it will be on steroids. 

Mocking Anne Frank

The off-Broadway play “Slam Frank” is a retelling of the story of Anne Frank, the Jewish girl whose diary documented the horrors of living under Nazism. Sadly, “Slam Frank” is making headlines for all the wrong reasons. 

While the writers claim the play is meant to mock the excesses of leftist wokeism, they badly missed their mark. They turned Anne Frank’s diary into an “intersectional, gender queer, Afro-Latin hip hop musical.” It is also full of debased, anti-Israel, antisemitic rhetoric. 

As one critical analysis put it, the play “stops being satire of left-wing blind spots and instead traffics in or reinforces antisemitic/anti-Zionist tropes.” Whatever satire the writers may have intended, it didn’t work because “Slam Frank” is earning rave reviews from the Left!

Aliza Licht, a pro-Israel activist and the granddaughter of four Holocaust survivors, told Fox News that the praise for the play from the Left in Zohran Mamdani’s New York City made her “really uncomfortable,” adding, “Never again is right this minute.”
