Promises Made, Promises Kept
One of the many things that truly distinguishes Donald Trump from other politicians is that he makes really bold promises and, most importantly, he keeps them.
When Trump ran for president in 2015, he made two big promises related to immigration, his signature issue. He promised to secure the southern border and stop illegal immigration. Promise kept.
He also promised to pause immigration from Muslim nations until we can figure out a better vetting system to ensure we are not importing hate into our country. Promise kept.
There was shocking—and I would add shockingly good—news announced yesterday by the State Department. Under President Trump, Vice President Vance, and Secretary of State Rubio, immigration from Muslim-majority nations into the United States has been reduced by 90%.
Now, before some leftist accuses me of being an Islamophobe, let me elaborate on why this is good news.
For decades, many Muslims coming to America from places like Afghanistan, Pakistan and Somalia were not coming here to become Americans. They came here to make America not a great nation but to make America a Muslim nation.
They’re following a religious obligation [WARNING: Explicit Language] to convert the whole world. Some Muslims are so extreme, they will kill those of other faiths who are not willing to submit.
Preserving Religious Freedom
I can already hear someone saying, “Well, what about religious liberty, Gary? Our country was founded on religious freedom.” Yes, it was. I am a big advocate of religious liberty. President Trump appointed me to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom.
But how do we continue to ensure that our country protects our religious liberty? We must have a population that believes in religious liberty. Islamists do not believe in religious liberty or pluralism.
How can I say that? Because there are 52 Islamic nations around the world, and none of them practice religious liberty. I think that’s a strong hint. There are no synagogues in most of these countries. There are few, if any, churches.
Nigeria was once a Christian nation. It’s now a majority Muslim nation. Nine Christians are murdered in Nigeria every single day, and churches are attacked every Sunday.
So, yes, we should all celebrate—including those Muslims who genuinely want to embrace American values—that we’re not letting in millions of Muslims every year like Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and the Democrat Party did.
A final point about religious liberty. We all know that there is a disturbing rise in antisemitism in the country today. The rise of this ancient hatred coincides with growing levels of Muslim immigration into the country.
In recent decades, we have been throwing gasoline on the fire. Not only are we bringing in large numbers of Muslims from Third World countries infested with bigotry and hate, but we’re also sending their children to indoctrination centers—our public schools and universities. There, leftist teachers and Marxist professors teach them to hate America and to hate Israel.
This deadly combination of unvetted immigration and leftist indoctrination explains why 36% of Democrats say they support the Islamic supremacists of Hamas over Israel. Among young Americans between the ages of 18 and 24 the indoctrination is even more pronounced as 46% say they support Hamas over Israel.
As one astute observer noted, Trump’s immigration policy is “the single most consequential policy to combat antisemitism in the U.S. in the last decade.”
Democrat Duplicity
We’re just over a month away from Election Day. Polling indicates that many voters may be willing to turn Congress over to today’s crazy Democrat Party. I want to tell you about a few recent votes that Democrats in Congress have taken that show just how cynical and petty they are.
This week, Republicans introduced a ban on stock trading by members of Congress because they might have inside information most of us don’t have. This is one of the few issues that unites Republicans and Democrats. Nearly 90% of the public supports banning stock trading by members of Congress.
Republicans also tried to pass the simple requirement that you have an ID to vote and prove you are an American citizen when you register to vote. This, too, enjoys overwhelming public support.
But every Senate Democrat voted against these popular common-sense ideas.
Republicans also tried to pass legislation ensuring that data centers did not pass along higher energy costs to local homeowners and businesses. I’ve written recently about how much Democrats are campaigning against data centers and claiming to care about “affordability.”
Well, only four Democrats supported the bill. It passed the House 417 to 3. But 43 Senate Democrats filibustered it because they didn’t want Republicans to “have a win.” They cared more about having a campaign issue than they did about keeping your energy bills low.
Don’t take my word for it. Even California Democrat Rep. Ami Bera admits that “politics are coming into play.”
This is what Democrats are doing when they don’t have the majority. The Democrats running today are the most radical candidates ever. They’re actual communists and radical Islamists!
But if the polls are right, they could have clear majorities in the House and Senate next year. Why would the American people give them even more power?
Miracle In The Sky
We’re learning more about what happened on FlyDubai Flight FZ1073, which was eerily similar to Flight 93 on 9/11. Thankfully, in this case, the passengers who fought back succeeded in retaking control of the aircraft and landing it.
The heroic captain of the plane is Smit Machchhar, an Indian national with more than a decade of flight experience. The co-pilot who attacked him is reportedly an Omani national. He should not have been allowed on the plane because Oman refuses to recognize Israel.
More importantly, the co-pilot was known to be a religious extremist. One FlyDubai employee told reporters, “There is no other way to put it—we hired the services of a terrorist and nearly caused the deaths of 180 people.” Of the 174 people on board, 166 of the passengers were Israelis, including 27 children. Four passengers are dual U.S.-Israeli citizens.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met the survivors of this harrowing ordeal at Ben Gurion International Airport. Yaniv Hayoun, a plumber by trade and still wearing blood-soaked clothing, explained to Netanyahu how he overpowered the jihadi co-pilot, took control of the aircraft, and pulled the plane out of its rapid nosedive.
Asked how he knew what to do, Hayoun said, “I had seen Air Crash Investigation on TV.” The Boeing 737 was not built to withstand G-forces like that and lost a large part of its rudder.
It was remarkable yesterday how many news outlets did everything they could to avoid saying this was another “terrorist attack.” When they did finally say it, they left “Islamist” out of the phrase.
Speaking of Islamists, U.S. and British officials are confirming that a “foreign state actor,” most likely Iran, is connected to the attempted attack on Fairford Air Force Base in the United Kingdom. A dual UK-Iranian national was arrested today in London.
