More Mamdani Madness

In the early morning hours of August 8, 2024, Clarence Woodward walked into a 24-hour laundromat in the Bronx. He viciously murdered Jose Miranda and attacked another individual with a meat cleaver—just one month after being released from prison. 

Woodward, who had 27 prior arrests, was charged with murder, manslaughter and assault. He was scheduled to appear in court this week, but he didn’t make it to the hearing. Woodward died Tuesday morning in Rikers Island prison. 

Tuesday afternoon, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani issued this statement:

“I am deeply saddened by the death of a New Yorker in City custody at a jail on Rikers Island early this morning. My thoughts are with his family and loved ones as they grieve this loss. We do not yet know the cause of death, but we do know that too many New Yorkers have died on Rikers Island.”

No one should celebrate when someone dies. But Mamdani’s statement made this murderer sound like Mother Teresa! 

Mamdani wasn’t mayor in 2024, but he was in the New York State Assembly, representing parts of New York City. Did he issue any statements expressing his “deep sadness” over the death of Jose Miranda? Did he have any thoughts about Miranda’s two grieving children?

He says “too many New Yorkers have died on Rikers Island.” Too many people in the Rikers Island prison have murdered people in their homes and businesses!

Left-wing Lunacy

It is beyond shocking that just because the Left is promising free stuff, a sizeable percentage of the American people are willing to overlook such insanity. But this is what you get with the Left. Your “free bus fare” comes with more compassion for criminals than innocent victims. 

Leftists are on the opposite side of the natural impulse of every normal human being. We cry when an innocent person has been killed by a thug. We don’t act as if his killer was a fine, upstanding, noble citizen. 

But the Left celebrates murderers and tyrants like Mao Zedong. Hasan Piker could barely contain himself when he received a copy of Mao’s “Little Red Book” during a visit to Communist China. Che Guevara remains a hero on the Left. He was a racist and terrorist. He murdered hundreds of people and sent homosexuals to concentration camps.

More Left-wing Lunacy

Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), a retired naval officer, has some strange ideas about the U.S. military. Appearing on MS Now yesterday, Kelly said Secretary of War Pete Hegseth’s frequent remarks about lethality and killing the bad guys was “not healthy.” 

What?! 

Kelly added that it was demoralizing for cadets at our military service academies who are taught to follow the law if there is ever a conflict between their orders and the law. 

Well, there isn’t a conflict between your orders and the law when you’re in an armed conflict and you’re told to eliminate the enemy. And this is coming from a guy who is considered a “moderate Democrat.” 

Kelly’s mindset is why Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan was such a debacle. (We just observed the fifth anniversary of the Abbey Gate bombing.) It’s why the military had so much trouble attracting new recruits during the Biden/Harris years. 

“Come join the military and help build schools overseas.” Young men and women don’t join the military to build schools. They join to defend our country and eliminate the bad guys. And you can’t build schools until you’ve eliminated the enemy. 

Mark Kelly is wrong, and Pete Hegseth is right. As General George Patton correctly put it, “No bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country.”

These are issues that most people in Western society don’t think about as we go on with our daily lives. We don’t like to be reminded that hard men stand on outposts all around our nation and abroad protecting us. Without them we would be slaves in short order.

AOC Pays Up

With some fanfare, the Democrat Socialists of America (DSA) announced yesterday that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has renewed her membership in the DSA. She previously joined in 2018 but allowed her membership to lapse the following year. 

But as speculation grows that she is considering running for president in 2028 or perhaps challenging Senator Chuck Schumer, she’s eager to get back in the good graces of the DSA. Marxists don’t like it when you don’t pay your dues to the party.

So much for moving to the center. 

She recently tried to laugh off “Woke 1” as just the “folly of youth.” But what’s the difference between Woke 1 and Woke 2? The biggest difference is that raw antisemitism had not yet become a litmus test on the Left. It is now. Jew-hatred is a pillar of Woke 2. 

Rubio Sanctions Antifa Support Group

Secretary of State Marco Rubio imposed sanctions yesterday against Autistici/Inventati, also known as the A/I Collective. The collective reportedly operates out of Italy. It began in 2001 with individuals in the “autonomous anti-capitalist movement,” meaning communists and Marxists, who were “interested in technology and active in the digital rights struggle.”

These radical hackers and tech experts provide “a full spectrum” of services—including encrypted chats and email, web hosting and secure video conferencing—to Marxist, anarchist, and other left-wing extremist groups in the United States, Europe and around the world. This sophisticated communications network is how far-left groups are able to organize so quickly and effectively. 

The State Department determined that Antifa, Hamas and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps—all designated terrorist organizations—were using the services of the A/I Collective. Thus, the collective was supporting a vast network of Marxist and Islamist terrorists. 

Just another example of the Red/Green alliance of radical Marxists and radical Muslims fighting together to destroy Judeo-Christian civilization. 

For years, I have been calling for law enforcement and previous administrations to crack down on violent left-wing extremism. The Trump/Vance administration is finally taking this threat seriously.

Trans Ideology = Left-wing Violence

A new study from Rutgers University confirms what many of us have long suspected—there is a link between transgender ideology and violent left-wing extremism. 

Transgender activists and their leftist allies have been promoting the idea that trans youth are being killed in disproportionate numbers. Trans activists also claim to be victims of a “genocide.” That “oppressed/victim” mentality and this extreme rhetoric is fueling left-wing authoritarianism and violence. (Not to mention all the opposite sex hormones and powerful drugs.)

Now, that’s obviously not all trans-identifying individuals. Many are just confused kids who need mental health counseling, not mutilating surgeries. But there is undeniably a radical segment that is much bigger than anyone wants to admit.

This study comes on the heels of yet more social science research showing that the political Left has become increasingly intolerant and radicalized. The shift among Democrats to the Left was ten times that of Republicans moving to the Right. 

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: The Left, not the Right, is the real threat to freedom and democracy in America. 

It’s the Left that supports big government—a government powerful enough to enforce socialist and Marxist policies.

It’s the Left that supports restrictions on our Second Amendment rights—without which there would be no First Amendment rights.

It’s the Left that enforces ideological conformity with its invented concept of “intersectionality.”

It’s the Left that supports censorship—whether it’s disagreements about COVID or the truth about Hunter Biden’s laptop.

It’s the Left that is more willing to justify political violence. 

It’s the Left that supports transgender ideology and demands that you deny reality and lie by calling a man “she.” It doesn’t get any more controlling and authoritarian than that!
