Media Malfeasance
The tone of virtually all of the media coverage regarding the conflict with Iran has been “President Trump claims X, and Iran says Y, so who really knows?” The front page of today’s New York Times has this headline: “Trump’s Claims On Talks Elicit Gains In Markets, And Denials From Iran.”
In other words, who are you going to believe—President Trump’s claims or Iran’s denials?
Big Media have anchored their skepticism on the talks by pointing out that President Trump won’t name the exact Iranian officials he is talking to. Don’t they understand that if the president named the individual or individuals he was negotiating with, it’s very possible that some elements of the Iranian regime would kill them?
There are 1,001 reasons for the president to withhold certain details!
But Big Media that most Americans get their news from are acting like it’s a coin toss on whether to believe our government or a regime literally built on an infrastructure of lies about everything. The regime’s prevailing Islamic ideology says they can and must lie to the infidel.
The radical Iranian regime lied about their nuclear weapons program, their funding of terrorist organizations, including Hamas and Hezbollah, and the range of their ballistic missiles. There is not enough space to catalog all of the regime’s lies.
Some journalists say they are just reporting what each side says so people can make their own decisions. Really? I’m trying to think of another war-related example. Oh, I have one—Ukraine.
Everything Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says the media reports as the total and complete truth. In fact, the propaganda machine operating in Ukraine has been incredibly efficient because of how much cooperation they get from the American media.
Ukraine’s government told us that Russia was running out of ammunition. No, actually, it was Ukraine that was running out of ammunition, requiring us to spend billions to replenish Ukraine’s weapons supplies.
There were stories about Ukrainian soldiers who heroically fought to the death defending Snake Island. These stories inspired the Ukrainian nation and many Americans to fight the Russians like we were back in the Cold War. It turned out to be false—the Ukrainian soldiers were captured, not killed.
But any contradiction between the mullahs of Iran and the U.S. government is treated like an open question up for debate. The media’s hatred of Donald Trump explains why 57% of Americans believe the conflict with Iran is going poorly, not for the Iranians but for the United States!
Iran’s Gift
Late this afternoon, the president held another Oval Office “try to stump me” session with reporters, and there were plenty of questions about Iran. The president reiterated that we are in negotiations with Iran to end the conflict, although it is difficult to know who is really in charge in that country.
Just about the time you figure out how to pronounce their names, their ashes are involuntarily being spread around the skies of Tehran!
Trump disclosed that the Iranians just gave the U.S. a very valuable “gift.” We needed evidence that the people we were talking to actually were in charge, and Trump said we got it. I don’t know exactly what that means, but something is clearly in the works.
Defunding Our Military
Think about this: There has not been one funding bill introduced in the United States Congress under Joe Biden or President Trump that has not received bipartisan support to spend incredible amounts of money to replenish the arms of Ukraine and provide them with additional arms to win the war with Russia.
But Democrat leaders and Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) are already signaling that they are unlikely to support a bill to replenish weapons for American troops currently in battle in the Persian Gulf.
Instead of identifying members of Congress by their party and state (D-NY), maybe we should identify some of them as (D-Ukraine) or (D-Iran).
Enemies Within
We should pay attention to a disturbing poll from Great Britain. The poll found that 39% of British Muslims have a favorable view of the Iranian regime compared to just 8% of the British public.
Half of British Muslims said the U.S.-Israeli strikes against the Iranian regime were “definitely wrong.” British Muslims also expressed favorable views of communist China and Russia while holding negative views of the United States and Israel.
I doubt that England somehow brought in a different type of Muslims than America has. Is it possible that only British Muslims side with Iran? It would be foolish to think so. Plenty of imams in American mosques were eulogizing the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
I have been warning for years that our stupid immigration policies were literally importing hate into the United States. Hatred of Jews, hatred of Christians and hatred of Judeo-Christian civilization and Western values.
Why is it that so many people in Ilhan Omar’s district wanted to volunteer for the military? They didn’t want to fight for the United States. They were volunteering to fight on the side of ISIS.
And why haven’t we seen a poll asking American Muslims about their views of Iran? Everything under the sun is polled constantly. We know that Zohran Mamdani got 90% of the Muslim vote, and he’s not a pro-Western civilization candidate.
Any polling organization or media outlet could have the field to themselves, bragging that they conducted the first comprehensive poll on the attitudes of American Muslims. The results would be newsworthy and revealing.
Stop The Insanity
Today’s Democrat Party has become so extreme that it can no longer define what a woman is. In fact, some leftists even insist that men can get pregnant.
Worse, they are trying to force this insanity on our children. They are trying to force us to lie by calling a man “she.” And they are forcing our daughters to compete against boys in girls’ sports.
The American people overwhelmingly oppose this leftist nonsense that claims there are dozens of genders and that boys and girls can be trapped in the wrong bodies. But Democrats are all in.
The Senate just voted on legislation to protect girls’ sports from cheating boys who claim to be girls. Every Republican senator present voted for the bill. Every Democrat present voted against the bill.
Democrats in the United States Senate will not accept that women’s sports are for normal, biological women. That’s the whole point of having men’s sports and women’s sports.
Not only would they force our daughters and granddaughters to compete against bigger and stronger boys, but they would also invade their privacy by forcing them to share locker rooms with boys.
Hurting young women and girls like this ought to be disqualifying for public office. Unfortunately, it’s not. That’s why our work to expose the Left’s extremism and to educate Christian citizens is so important.
Trouble In Texas
The Republican Senate majority may well come down to the Texas Senate race. Republicans aren’t likely to sweep all of the toss-up races in this current political environment. But if they lose Texas, Chuck Schumer is the next Senate Majority Leader, and none of President Trump’s judicial nominees will be confirmed.
Heading into the May runoff, Sen. John Cornyn and Attorney General Ken Paxton are tearing each other apart like wild hyenas. The winner will emerge badly bruised and broke. Polls show the general election contest against Democrat James Talarico is essentially tied. The GOP will have to spend $70 million or more on what should be a safe seat.
The media hypes Talarico as a “moderate,” but the only thing moderate about him is his style. Virtually every day we are finding out just how far-left Talarico is. Even though Texas was on the front line of Joe Biden’s illegal alien invasion for four years, Talarico opposes President Trump’s border wall. He wants open borders.
And in spite of a terrorist attack in Austin earlier this month by a radical Islamist, Talarico wants to end what he calls “Trump’s Muslim ban.” There is no “Muslim ban.” President Trump imposed immigration restrictions on countries that are known hotbeds of extremism—countries like Afghanistan, Iran, Somalia and Yemen.
The Muslim vote in Texas is getting large enough to make the difference in a close race. If Talarico wins, the people of Texas will be represented by a senator you would normally expect in a state like California or New York.
Reining In Mail-In Ballots
The Supreme Court heard oral arguments yesterday in a case challenging laws that allow mail-in ballots received after Election Day to still be counted. Even though 83% of Americans believe ballots should be received by Election Day, at least 14 states have so-called “grace periods” that effectively extend Election Day well beyond the actual day of the election. Washington state, for example, will accept ballots up to 21 days after Election Day.
Thankfully, the Supreme Court’s conservative majority seemed skeptical of mail-in ballot grace periods. Some legal analysts are predicting a 6 to 3 vote striking them down. But even if we win, it is just a minor step toward returning to normalcy, where we have an actual Election Day and not an election “season.”
