Dueling Demonstrations
There are two big demonstrations taking place today—one in Minneapolis and the other in Washington, D.C. Let’s compare them.
In Minneapolis, left-wing activists are staging a “general strike.” Hundreds of businesses closed. People were urged to avoid shopping. Students were encouraged to skip school. A massive protest was held at the Target Center denouncing our federal immigration police.
The people our federal immigration police are trying to arrest in Minneapolis are rapists, child molesters, and pedophiles. That’s who they are looking for. But the leftist demonstrators refuse to accept that.
They are blocking police cars. They are calling federal police officers “Nazis” and “stormtroopers.” They are harassing their families. They are telling immigration police to kill themselves.
All of that is being done to protect murders, rapists, gang members, and child molesters. And that is supposed to be a noble cause?!
Second Lady Usha Vance and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt recently announced that they were pregnant. Their announcements triggered an avalanche of hate from successful, articulate, left-wing women who went online to express their hope that Vance and Leavitt’s bodies would be ripped apart during labor.
Yet, we’re told that these haters are the ones with “compassion” and “empathy.” No, they’re not. They’re just like the revolutionaries who stormed Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Sunday.
March For Life
In stark contrast to the hate fest in Minneapolis, tens of thousands of people, mostly young Americans, came to Washington, D.C., today for the annual March For Life.
Marches and protests happen here regularly. Usually, the demonstrators are seeking some action or policy that will benefit them personally. The March For Life is different. Today’s marchers were not asking for any monetary or policy benefit for themselves. Their bank accounts won’t get bigger if they’re successful.
They’re braving the winter weather to give voice to the one group of Americans who literally have no voice—our preborn babies.
When young people are asked why they are participating in the March For Life, they will give a variety of answers. But I have noticed that many will say they found out that they have a sibling who was never born. They joined the March For Life to celebrate the life of the brother or sister they never knew.
President Trump addressed the March For Life via video and vowed to keep fighting for the “eternal truth that every child is a gift from God.” Vice President J.D. Vance spoke to the marchers in person. Vance hailed the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade as “the most important decision of my lifetime” and encouraged the crowd to continue fighting for the sanctity of life.
The media will cover five nuts with signs protesting outside of the White House as proof of “growing opposition to Trump.” But it will ignore these pro-life marchers or, worse, mock them. I believe the pro-life movement is one of the most selfless and noble movements in America.
We’ve seen the outrageous images of left-wing fanatics assaulting and harassing federal immigration police in Minneapolis. You didn’t see that at the March For Life.
When left-wing demonstrators come to Washington, D.C., they trash the National Mall and leave the mess behind for others to clean up. Today’s pro-life marchers cleaned up the National Mall before they left.
It’s a sad commentary that these pro-life Americans are never held up for praise or acclaim. No one ever says they are “protecting their neighbors.” But that’s what our unborn children are—our neighbors waiting to come into the world. We should welcome them and protect them.
Friends Of Club 21
The people at the March For Life love America. They said the Pledge of Allegiance and then sang the National Anthem. You didn’t see that in the streets of Minneapolis today.
The National Anthem was led by a very special choir—the Friends of Club 21 Choir from Colorado Springs, Colorado. The members of this choir all have Down syndrome.
You will often hear a horrible bit of fake news—that because of the “great work of scientists and researchers,” Down Syndrome has virtually disappeared. That is a lie. It has nothing to do with the “great work” of scientists and researchers.
People with Down syndrome are disappearing because of the abortionist’s knives and acid used to kill them in the womb. They’re being aborted by frightened parents who are told by the culture and by doctors, “Well, your child will never have a happy life.” That’s another lie.
Most people with Down syndrome are the happiest people you will ever meet. They are made in the image of God, just like everybody else.
In our extended family, we have a relative with Down syndrome. Yes, there were challenges for her mother and father. But she is the most delightful and happy person you could ever meet.
So, I’m proud to stand with the pro-life movement. I’ve done so all my life and will continue to do it until God calls me home!
What Really Happened
In my latest podcast for the James Dobson Family Institute (JDFI), I take a deep dive into what really happened at Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, this past Sunday.
As I explain in my podcast, this was not an anti-immigration police protest. It was an attack on our religious liberty. Three arrests have been made now.
I urge you to check out my podcast on JDFI’s website, and please share it with your friends and family members.
Not Taking The Bait
A left-wing sports reporter, said to be with the New York Times, attempted to get leading American tennis players at the Australian Open to condemn President Trump. They didn’t take the bait.
The reporter asked Taylor Fritz, “There’s a lot happening back home in the U.S. and has been for a lot of the last year. How are you feeling about all of it?” Fritz dismissed the reporter, saying his question was “a big distraction for me in the middle of the tournament.”
The reporter asked Amanda Anisimova a similar question, probably assuming she was an immigrant who would gladly trash Donald Trump. Anisimova said, “I was born in America, so I’m always proud to represent my country.”
Surprised by her response, the reporter pressed again, saying, “Just to clarify a little, I mean, in the context of the last year of everything that’s been happening in the U.S., does that complicate that feeling at all?” Anisimova shot back, “I don’t think that’s relevant.”
This is just one example of what the fake news media is doing every single day. No reporter ever asked professional athletes if they were embarrassed by Joe Biden’s incoherent babbling or aimless wandering. No reporter would dare ask that. They’d be fired if they did.
