Satan’s Script
Satan wrote the script for the atrocities that transpired yesterday at a Minneapolis Catholic church and school. The transgender shooter’s message, “Where’s your God now,” wasn’t referring to Allah. It was referring to the God of the Bible, the God Catholics, Jews, and Protestants worship. The only God, by the way. “Where’s your God now” was Satan mocking God.
The transgender shooter hated Christians. He used a picture of Jesus for target practice. He also had a burning hatred for Jews and Israel. Satan would have given him a standing ovation. The Jews were the people through whom our Savior came and defeated Satan at the cross.
Reportedly, the transgender child killer called for the death of only one political figure—Donald Trump.
Why? Because America has done more to spread the Gospel around the world than any nation in the history of the world. The Left is doing everything it can to rip us away from our Judeo-Christian heritage. The Left is doing everything it can to force Christians into the closet to keep us out of the debate over America’s future.
They may still succeed. But Donald Trump has given us a reprieve. On every front, he is fighting back against the neo-Marxists and God-denying radicals. Of course, an anti-Christian bigot in the transgender movement would want him dead.
The meaning of what just happened should be clear to us. It’s apparent to many leftists. They realize that if more people understood what just happened, their ongoing campaign to destroy America as a Judeo-Christian country would be seriously set back. (See next item.)
The Left never hesitates to blame conservatives and Christians for acts of violence, no matter how thin the evidence or how stretched their rationale may be.
Any incident at an abortion clinic, gay bar, or mosque, and the whole media establishment immediately jumps to the same conclusion: “Everyone knows what happened here. This is because of the right-wing Christian nationalists and their hateful rhetoric.”
Brian Kilmeade said on Fox News this morning that the transgender shooter hated everyone. He’s wrong. He didn’t hate everyone. He hated us.
An ABC reporter said the shooter had “references” to Donald Trump written on his weapons. References to Trump? Was the killer MAGA? Did he write, “Go DOGE”? No. The killer’s message was “Kill Donald Trump.”
Victim Blaming
Mayor Jacob Frey a sorry record. He knelt in submission to Black Lives Matter rioters in 2020. He ordered the police to abandon their facility in Minneapolis rather than defend it from rioters. So, his reaction yesterday, while shameful, wasn’t surprising.
Before the afternoon was over, Frey attacked anyone who was critical of the transgender movement. This was after he told the parents of the dead Catholic children, basically the same thing their murderer had written on his weapons, “Where’s your God now?”
Frey suggested that their children’s prayers were useless when he said, “Don’t just say this is about thoughts and prayers right now! These kids were literally praying.” Many leftists, including former Biden Press Secretary Jen Psaki, said the same thing or worse.
The Bible has multiple references to heathen nations mocking God’s people with the taunt, “Where’s your God now?”
Prayer isn’t a Christmas list. We don’t tell God what we want Him to do so we won’t have any suffering in life. Every person will experience suffering in this fallen world.
Mayor Frey probably wanted to talk about banning guns in the hope people wouldn’t remember his continual pushing of transgender ideology.
Why didn’t any reporter say, “Mr. Mayor, would you like to say a word to the trans community about why violence is never acceptable?”
Governor Tim Walz and Mayor Frey should both be saying, “I demand that the trans community loudly and clearly condemn this atrocity and reject violence.”
Gov. Walz Left Religious Schools Vulnerable
Two years ago, Minnesota’s Catholic and other religious leaders begged Gov. Walz and state officials for help in providing increased security for religious schools. Despite running a substantial surplus at the time, Walz told the bishops to stuff it. At the same time, Walz was making Minnesota a “transgender sanctuary state” by executive order. That was his priority.
A year later, Walz held the bill signing ceremony for legislation that codified his outrageous executive order. Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan showed up wearing a t-shirt that read “Protect Trans Kids” alongside a large hunting knife. Nothing subtle at all about that call to violence!
It’s not just Gov. Walz. Attorney General Keith Ellison is suing to stop the Trump administration’s rules banning trans treatments for minors. Ellison and the Minnesota Democrat Party want the state to continue castrating boys and cutting the breasts off girls. Mayor Frey has also declared Minneapolis to be a trans sanctuary city.
I would urge Republicans in the Minnesota state legislature to introduce legislation declaring Minnesota a sanctuary state for Christians and Jews. Let’s see how that vote goes.
I’ll guarantee you that the public school system in Minnesota is filled with stuff that would turn your stomach when it comes to human sexuality. And we know “Tampon Tim” put those ladies’ products in the boys’ bathrooms.
The entire leftist complex and its stranglehold on our schools is one big LGBTQ recruiting operation.
Radical teachers are pushing kids to question whether they’re in the right body. They are stoking mental illness. They demand to do it without parental knowledge.
When sane, normal people resist their demands to lie and use incorrect and made-up pronouns, boys in girls’ sports, and drag queen story hours, they label us as “haters.” Then, the mentally ill people they have “weaponized” engage in violence.
Irreconcilable Differences
Early in my 2000 presidential campaign, I spoke at a high school in an upscale suburb of Minneapolis. A young woman asked me, “Mr. Bauer, you say you develop your public policy positions based on the principles of your Christian faith.” I replied, “Yes, that’s correct.” Then she said, “Hasn’t anyone told you about the separation of church and state?”
That was 25 years ago. This school is where I first offered my challenge to high school seniors during the campaign.
I said to the class, “Do you know that America was founded on a profoundly Christian idea?” After getting a lot of confused looks, I said, “Well, it’s in the first line of the second paragraph of our Declaration of Independence. I’ll begin the sentence, and I’ll give $20 to any student who can finish it.” Then, I said, “We hold these truths to be self-evident. . .”
No one senior in an upscale Minnesota suburb 25 years ago knew that our liberty comes from God, not government.
This battle has been raging for decades. We have a fighting ally on our side for now in President Trump. But, in the months and years ahead, the violence will get worse, not better. As I have said a thousand times, we have irreconcilable differences with the Left. Only one side can win.
DNC & DEI
There were a lot of attacks on Christians in Minneapolis over the past 48 hours. The Democrat National Committee held its summer meeting in Minneapolis this week and reminded the American people why they reelected Donald Trump.
The DNC took up several resolutions, including one supporting DEI—diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Tennessee DNC member Bill Owen sponsored the DEI resolution. He said, “And to my Republican friends and fellow citizens . . . who profess to be active Christians, I remind them that DEI is the very foundation of the Christian church.”
Many mainline Protestant churches, along with some evangelicals and Catholics, have become confused on this issue.
It’s absolutely true that Christ’s Church welcomes people of all races and nationalities to join us in accepting Christ. Faithful followers of Christ will treat everyone equally. But equality is not what DEI is all about. The Left is trying to get you to buy into global secularism by disguising it as the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It is not!
Of course, when Owen made his pitch for DEI by equating it with Christianity, no one at the DNC meeting said, “How dare you violate the separation of church and state! Don’t force your values on me!”
That rhetoric is reserved for when conservatives suggest the nation follow real biblical values, including don’t murder innocent preborn children; recognizing the biblical and biological reality that God created us male and female; and that in marriage a man and a woman leave their parents and are joined together in marriage.
Some churches have sold out to this radical ideology and fly DEI flags. Those churches are dying. Do not allow the Left to confuse you about the teachings of Jesus Christ and the teachings of Karl Marx.
One final point just to make this simpler: The Minneapolis church shooter embraced transgender ideology. He hated Christians. He hated Israel. He hated Donald Trump. All of those things would be supported by a majority of the DNC delegates.
Trump’s Economy
A revised economic report finds Trump’s economy is stronger than we thought. While the Commerce Department initially reported second-quarter growth at 3%, it was actually 3.3%, boosted by greater business investment and consumer spending.
In another win for America and President Trump, the European Union took steps today to remove tariffs on U.S. industrial goods and to extend preferred treatment to some U.S. agricultural products.
D.C. Mayor Says “Thank You,” Sorta
Washington, D.C., Mayor Muriel Bowser is getting a lot of hate mail and nasty messages today. She just committed a cardinal sin among Democrats—she said something nice about Donald Trump!
Pointing to the fact that carjackings are down 87% in her city since President Trump’s crackdown on crime, Bowser said:
“We know that when carjackings go down, when use of guns go down, when homicide or robbery go down, neighborhoods feel safer and are safer. So, this surge has been important to us for that reason. . . Having more federal law enforcement officers on the street—we think having more stops that got to illegal guns has helped.”
