Crazy Leftist Women vs. Your Humble Servant

“I’ve Had It” is the name of an increasingly popular left-wing podcast hosted by Christian-bashers Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan. They are the “worst of the worst” when it comes to the bigoted, mean-spirited, vitriolic Left. They “hated on” when Charlie Kirk even after he was brutally murdered by a trans-obsessed leftist. 

A favorite target is Christians. They particularly hate the idea that Christian parents may homeschool and tell their children about Jesus.

Controlling Our Children

When the Democrat Socialists of America are not trying to seize the means of production, they are trying to seize the minds of our children so they can control them. DSA operatives are working with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani to “revision and reframe” the city’s school curricula with a Marxist “class-conscious” narrative.

New York City schools are already a disaster. The Big Apple spends more than $36,000 per student—twice the national average. Yet, nearly half of the city’s schools are “persistently” and “systemically” failing to educate their students. Teaching our children about the “genius” of Karl Marx instead of the greatness of George Washington certainly won’t help. 

The DSA scheme to indoctrinate children was exposed after a recent online meeting of socialist teachers was obtained by the New York Post. In an unscripted moment of candor, one teacher admitted, “All of our reforms are obviously not very popular.” I disagree. They are very popular—in Beijing and Moscow.

But the DSA sees Mayor Mamdani as a fellow Marxist they can do business with. They also want to leverage next year’s teachers’ union contract negotiations to advance their revolutionary agenda. And as we all know, the teachers’ unions are already dominated by anti-American Marxists. 

Saving Our Story

Left-wing historians and professors have hijacked the Smithsonian and many of our national museums. The new narrative is that America was evil at our beginning and is evil now. No more “shining city on a hill” for you!

Dr. Anthea Hartig, director of the National Museum of American History, testified on Capitol Hill last week about her “extreme makeover” of America’s history. It was a pathetic display of leftist ideological lunacy. Sadly, she has plenty of comrades.

A few years ago, I was with close friends at a bookstore in historic Williamsburg, Virginia. Prominently on display was The 1619 Project by Marxist Nikole Hannah-Jones. Among other things, Hannah-Jones falsely claimed that the Founding Fathers fought the Revolutionary War to preserve slavery. (Hannah-Jones is a revolutionary, not a historian.)

So, stores in historic Williamsburg were promoting a book that claimed everything that happened in Williamsburg and at the nearby Yorktown battlefield was horrible and America remains horrible today because of it.

Thankfully, President Trump is fighting back against the Left’s hijacking of our history. He has ordered warnings to be posted outside the National Museum of American History telling visitors—the American people—that what they will find inside is biased. They will also be informed of where they can find “accurate information regarding America’s history.”

This is a modest remedy, but the museum staff and its leftist allies are acting like they have been put in front of a firing squad. They can’t handle an honest debate over what happened in our history, which they claim to be representing. 

It reminds me of what happened during COVID. People motivated by the same mentality as those running the American History Museum took over the narrative of what you had to believe about the virus. “It did not start in a Chinese lab,” they insisted. “You will kill people if you don’t wear masks,” they claimed. “You won’t get sick if you get vaccinated,” they said. “Six feet of social distancing will keep you safe.” On and on and on. 

Anyone who expressed a different view was censored. Anyone who suggested there was better and more accurate information was labeled a conspiracy theorist. What’s happening with the National Museum of American History is just another example of the struggle over our right to have information grounded in the truth. 

It will take years to reclaim our history, our universities and other institutions the Left has hijacked. But I doubt we have years. It will take more than what’s left of Trump’s term, and probably at least two terms of another president following him with the same goals and values. And there are no guarantees if we lose the House and Senate in less than 100 days.

Polling Problems

There is more evidence that Republicans are facing big trouble this November. Never mind independent voters—the GOP base is unraveling. New polling indicates that one out of five high-propensity Republican voters either will not vote this November or may even vote for Democrats. 

The two issues most frequently cited for their lack of enthusiasm are inflation and too many foreign wars. Needless to say, this is very troubling. If 20% of the GOP base stays home or defects to the Democrat, it would result in a total catastrophe.

There was one small sign of hope for the GOP. It is possible to move conservative voters away from the Democrats through direct person-to-person contact, such as going door-to-door. Sadly, the Republican Party is not known for that kind of labor-intensive canvassing.

An Uneasy Pause

After 13 straight days of military strikes across Iran, there is an uneasy pause in hostilities while we see if the mullahs are serious yet about negotiating. Late last week, President Trump was warning of “a massive” U.S. attack on Iran that would be “bigger than ever before.”

There were reports over the weekend that Vice President J.D. Vance and Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman General Dan Caine both cautioned that escalating the war effort wouldn’t be as simple as we might think. The president feels Gen. Caine is exactly what a military leader should be, so his warning should make anyone think twice. 

Oil prices fell sharply today as the pause in fighting enters its third day. 

Tucker Carlson’s Delusion

Meanwhile, Tucker Carlson is not pausing his attacks on Donald Trump. If anything, he has escalated them in multiple interviews in recent days. Speaking with Bloomberg, Carlson accused the president of “betraying” the country and surrendering America’s sovereignty to Israel.

It’s sad to hear Carlson parroting Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other antisemitic conspiracy theorists. It’s also totally absurd.

Benjamin Netanyahu does not control Donald Trump. Israel does not control America. The United States and Israel have shared interests, shared values and shared enemies. 

Israel is our most reliable ally. The only democratic nation in the Middle East and the only Jewish nation in the world, Israel is the tip of the spear in the fight against radical Islam. 

If Israel disappeared tomorrow, there would be no safe haven for Christians, Jews, women and other minorities in the Middle East. If the radical Iranian regime disappeared tomorrow, there would probably be peace in the Middle East.
