Alien Base Invaders

“Open Borders” Biden may have a big problem on his hands. But it remains to be seen if the American people will ever know about it.

Did you know that over the last few years, there have been repeated attempts by Chinese nationals to gain access to American military bases? This isn’t just a couple of random incidents. It’s happened more than 100 times.

Did you know that? Congress just held a hearing about this issue, trying to figure out what the heck is going on. You’d think that would be big news.

Did you hear about the attempt by foreign nationals to breach the perimeter of the major Marine Corps training center in Quantico, Virginia?

I heard about it from a source two weeks ago. Then I saw a tiny story online. I also saw some people claiming it was just a conspiracy theory.

Well, yesterday it was confirmed that two Jordanian nationals, who entered the country illegally, attempted to gain access to the base by claiming they were delivering Amazon packages. Thankfully, they didn’t get far.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was asked to provide an update on this incident. She refused.

I guarantee you that this story will quickly disappear, and the reason is obvious: It puts Joe Biden’s political future at risk. He has allowed eight to ten million illegal aliens to enter the country, and we don’t know anything about them.

Here’s something else the left-wing media won’t tell you: Since Joe Biden took office, the number of suspected terrorists entering the country has gone up by 2,500%.

Border security is national security. And with “Open Borders” Biden, we have neither.

Trump’s Good Day

I said I wouldn’t dwell on the details of Donald Trump’s Manhattan trial, and I won’t. But you do need to know what happened in the courtroom yesterday. Alvin Bragg’s case against Trump took a big hit yesterday, as Michael Cohen’s lies fell apart under cross-examination.

Even the Trump-haters in the left-wing media were forced to concede that Cohen’s testimony was a disaster. Here’s what CNN’s Anderson Cooper had to say:

“Michael Cohen was cornered in what appeared here to be a lie. . . and everyone in the courtroom could tell. . . I think it’s devastating for Michael Cohen’s credibility. . . I think if I was a juror in this case watching that, I would think, this guy’s making this up as he’s going along.”

Cooper wasn’t the only one shocked by Cohen’s testimony. CNN’s legal analyst Elie Honig put it this way:

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen a star cooperating witness get his knees chopped out quite as clearly and dramatically as what just happened with Michael Cohen. . . But this goes to the heart of the allegation here. . . that was a devastating moment.”

MSNBC Chief Legal Correspondent Ari Melber said:

“I think the punches are building cumulatively. I think Tuesday there were bruises, and today there is blood. . . The collective view is these are moments the jury will remember, and they [Trump’s defense team] are instilling or adding possible doubts about Michael Cohen’s long-term credibility.”

Cohen’s testimony was so damaging to the prosecution’s case that NYU Law Professor Ryan Goodman said, “I think what happened today is so devastating. . .  If the case ended today and there were final statements, I think there would not be a conviction.”

But the case isn’t over yet. Many observers believe the outcome of the trial was settled when the jury was picked, and it’s 50/50 as to whether Trump is found guilty or not guilty.

A Dark Moment

Rep. Michael Waltz (R-FL), who attended the Manhattan trial this week, was on Fox Business this morning. Waltz warned about the outright weaponization of the legal system.

He said this was a “dark moment in American history,” adding, “We are going down the road of Pakistan and Venezuela, where the opposite political party weaponizes like-minded judges.”

Waltz was asked about the impact of Trump’s pending immunity case before the Supreme Court. He pointed out that even a decision in Trump’s favor does nothing for members of Congress, governors, or county commissioners.

He noted that left-wing prosecutors can easily indict a candidate or sitting officeholder, and once the media piles on, their reputation is destroyed. A conviction isn’t necessary to cause serious damage.

Waltz said, “The left has unleashed Pandora’s box here that could destroy our democracy.”

As a reminder, Special Counsel Jack Smith has a reputation for legal persecutions. He destroyed the career of former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell. Even though the Supreme Court would unanimously overturn McDonnell’s conviction, the damage was done.

This is what Marxist regimes do. They weaponize the law. There’s a reason the phrase “Stalinist show trials” exists. Even if you are eventually cleared, as McDonnell was, the process is the punishment.

Yes, there are real threats to our democracy. But it’s coming from the neo-Marxist left.

What’s He Hiding?

Yesterday, the House Judiciary Committee and the House Oversight Committee both voted to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt. Why? Because he has refused to comply with congressional subpoenas for audio recordings of Joe Biden’s interview with Special Counsel Robert Hur.

The votes came in response to President Biden asserting executive privilege over the recordings at Garland’s request. In a letter to the president, Garland wrote:

“The Committees’ needs are plainly insufficient to outweigh the deleterious effects that productions of the recordings would have on the integrity and effectiveness of similar law enforcement investigations in the future.”

That’s totally absurd. The transcript has already been released. How could the audio recordings possibly threaten future investigations? Moreover, Biden waived his executive privilege when he agreed to release the transcript!

White House Counsel Ed Siskel’s response to committee Chairmen Jim Jordan and James Comer was even more direct. Siskel declared:

“The absence of a legitimate need for the audio recordings lays bare your likely goal — to chop them up, distort them, and use them for partisan political purposes.”

Translation: The White House is withholding the recordings for partisan political purposes in order to provide cover for and prevent embarrassment to candidate Joe Biden.

As a reminder, Hur declined to prosecute Joe Biden not because he thought Biden was innocent of mishandling classified documents but because he thought Biden was too senile to stand trial.

You’d think the White House would be eager to quash the idea that Biden is mentally incompetent by releasing the audio recordings. Just a couple of months ago, the White House insisted that Biden “had nothing to hide.”

They are clearly trying to hide something now. The fact that they are resisting so aggressively tells you just how bad those recordings and Biden’s mental state really are.

By the way, this is another example of the two systems of justice. Trump aides are in jail today and Trump is facing another trial because his claims of executive privilege were denied.

Good News
