Friday, March 1, 2024 -- Say Her Name, Back To The Border, More Biden Lies

Say Her Name

I delivered a message to the president today. You can read it below or listen to it here as I recorded it for my daily commentary on the Bott Radio Network. I can guarantee the White House will throw it away, and if I’m not already on the neo-Marxists’ enemies list, this will do it. Here’s a copy of my message to the president.

Mr. President:

Laken Riley. Laken Riley. Why won’t you say her name?

Her loving family buried her today. There will be weeping and a hole in their hearts for the rest of their lives. She died because of your policies – because of the Biden migrant invasion and the Biden migrant crime wave.

Laken Riley. Laken Riley. Why won’t you say her name?

Donald Trump called and quietly consoled her family. Why won’t you call them, Mr. President? What is wrong with you? Do you feel any sense of shame? Or is it all about political power, as it has always been, with you?

This is not an isolated case, Mr. President. Every day, American women are raped. Every day, American children are killed. Every day, American citizens are robbed. Every day, America’s sovereignty is violated because of your migrant crime wave.

Laken Riley. Laken Riley. Why won’t you say her name?

I’m sure you have said the name George Floyd a thousand times. You remind us every year on the anniversary of his death. You tell us to say his name. The death of a drug addict who had an unfortunate encounter with the police is more important to you than her death. Why?

His death allows you to stoke racial discord and promote your leftist agenda. Her death is an embarrassment to you. You don’t care because this is who you are. It is no different than you looking at your watch on the tarmac when the bodies were brought back from Afghanistan, as if you had somewhere else better to be.

Shame on you, Mr. President. You are a disgrace to the office.

Laken Riley. Laken Riley. Laken Riley. Say her name.

You can listen to this message here.

Communist Sympathizers

Late last month, two left-wing members of Congress – Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) – made a secret trip to communist Cuba. They went, allegedly, to meet “with people from across Cuban civil society and government officials to discuss human rights and the U.S.-Cuba bilateral relationship.”

Sure, they did. They weren’t there to discuss human rights. That’s like going to Iran to discuss religious liberty with the ayatollah.

The last part of that sentence tells you everything you need to know. They were there to coordinate a pressure campaign with the communists aimed at forcing the U.S. government to end all sanctions on the regime in Havana.

These two radical politicians are anti-American members of Congress. They are comfortable siding with our enemies.

They are major “lobbyists” for Hamas, constantly repeating Hamas talking points on what should happen next in Gaza. They evidently have time on their calendars to promote communist Cuba. And in their spare time, they are advocates for Biden’s open borders agenda and his migrant crime wave.

I guarantee that they did not meet with any normal Cuban citizens. They met with representatives of the Marxist government.

I met with actual Cubans when I served on the U.S. Commission for International Religious Freedom. They had to come here under false pretenses and meet with us in secret. We couldn’t issue a statement because it could put their families at risk. They described for us the violations of their God-given rights that the people of Cuba regularly face.

That was not what Omar and Jayapal went to discuss. They went to cooperate with Cuba’s communist government to end the punishment of Cuba’s communist government.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY), who has relatives in Cuba, was on Fox News this morning. She blasted Omar and Jayapal as “anti-American” and “communist sympathizers.”

Malliotakis also condemned both of them for voting against a resolution calling for the release of Cubans who were arbitrarily detained during mass protests that broke out in 2021.

Back To The Border

As we noted in yesterday’s report, Presidents Joe Biden and Donald Trump visited the southern border Thursday. Their events couldn’t have been more different.

Trump was masterful in his remarks. He talked about Laken Riley and engaged with the people he spoke to. He was also accompanied by Brandon Judd, the president of the Border Patrol union.

In stark contrast, Biden’s event looked like the walking dead. He said little until he tried again to sell the big lie that somehow what’s happening at the border has nothing to do with him, and real progress could be made if congressional Republicans would just get on board with the Senate’s quasi-amnesty bill.

He never discussed the Biden migrant crime wave confronting police departments all over the country, not to mention Laken Riley’s murder.

As I watched his remarks with Border Patrol agents standing behind him, one woman seemed to agree with him. The other agents looked like they were in a hostage video.

I wondered how many of them who were forced to participate in that event remembered that not long ago, Joe Biden and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas were not attacking the illegal aliens pouring across our border, or the suspected terrorists sneaking across the border, or the drug cartels that control much of the border.

Instead, they both ran to the media and immediately attacked our Border Patrol agents. They said they were “racists” who were whipping migrants based on a picture they didn’t understand.

Kamala Harris compared the Border Patrol agents to slavers who whipped their slaves. The entire administration immediately threw under the bus the brave men and women who are doing what little they are allowed to do to stop the Biden migrant invasion.

We have a secret ballot in America, so we’ll never know for sure, but I would bet my house that, like the illegal aliens voting 100% for Biden, the people charged with securing our border will vote 100% for Donald Trump.

More Biden Lies

Hunter Biden finally showed up for his deposition with House Republicans, who are trying to figure out what exactly he did for all the millions of dollars he and his family collected from foreign interests and funneled through 20 different shell companies.

Hunter was unequivocal, saying, “I did not involve my father in my business. . . Never.” Really?

  • We know Joe Biden met with several of Hunter’s business associates and called in to Hunter’s business meetings.

  • We know he used his father to demand payment from his communist Chinese connections.

When pressed to explain these inconsistencies, Hunter claimed more than two dozen times that he just couldn’t recall anything because he was often in a drug-induced fog. He even denied knowing that he was the corporate secretary of Rosemont Seneca Bohai.

Yet somehow, in spite of his drug and alcohol addictions, he was able to give top-notch advice to major corporations all over the world.

Some have suggested that Republicans can’t show how Joe Biden benefited in any way from Hunter’s business dealings. That’s absurd. As legal expert Jonathan Turley noted, the lack of direct payments is not a defense. Joe Biden benefited by his family members becoming wealthy because of his name and position.

And we also know that Hunter once complained to his daughter about how he had to “pay for everything for this entire family” and give “Pop” (that would be Joe) half his salary.

But the fundamental issue is: How did all this influence peddling and grift affect Joe Biden’s policies? When you see how he has failed to confront communist China, the obvious conclusion is that he is either incompetent or compromised.

Good News

  • A three-judge panel of the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled unanimously that some January 6th defendants were improperly sentenced for a charge that did not apply. Their sentences will now be recalculated and reduced.

  • A California judge has upheld a policy requiring teachers to inform parents if their child changes gender at school.

  • A Delaware judge struck down the state’s early voting law as it directly contradicts the language of the Delaware constitution. This is a victory for the rule of law and election integrity.
