Is The End Near?
Despite renewed fighting at the beginning of the week, the prospects for a deal with Iran appear to be much stronger now than in the past. The latest U.S. strikes no doubt helped persuade the Islamic regime to make a deal.
Here’s one indication of the seriousness of the negotiations: Four C-17 military cargo planes left for Europe yesterday. These planes are reportedly carrying vehicles and other equipment for Vice President Vance when he arrives in Geneva, Switzerland, to sign the agreement, possibly this weekend. The C-17s wouldn’t be going to Europe without some degree of certainty.
Oil prices fell yesterday on the news of a deal, and they were down again today. Gasoline prices have fallen 45 cents per gallon over the past four weeks.
Here’s what we know about the deal:
- The ceasefire will be extended for another 60 days.
- The Strait of Hormuz will be immediately reopened without tolls. The U.S. blockage of Iranian ports will be lifted.
- After the Strait is reopened, Iran will be allowed to sell its oil for 60 days.
- Iran will agree to never develop nuclear weapons.
- A final resolution to Iran’s nuclear program will be negotiated in a second agreement. Iran’s stockpile of highly enriched uranium will be destroyed or degraded under the supervision of U.N. inspectors.
- Iran will receive sanctions relief in proportion to its compliance with the deal.
That said, President Trump wrote on Truth Social this morning that what Iran is saying about the deal has “NOTHING to do with the terms that were agreed to in writing . . . [and] bears no relation to the truth. . . They better get their act together and FAST!”
Iranian Propaganda
President Trump blasted the American media for sounding like Tehran’s propaganda outlets. He told Fox News:
“They could wave the white flag of surrender. They could say: ‘We surrender, we surrender! We’re finished! We’ve had it. The United States is the greatest power, praise be to Allah.’ They could say it loud and clear. And the fake news would say, ‘It was a great victory for Iran.’”
President Trump is absolutely right! The media’s reporting on the war has been disgusting. It’s a national scandal all by itself. If Trump has restored any respect for America or at least a fear of not getting on our bad side, the American media has consistently undermined it.
The president also expressed his concern that many Americans don’t have the patience or the “stomach” to do what might be necessary because of the media’s pro-Iranian propaganda.
You know Xi Jinping is watching in Beijing just how much our media undermined the war effort against Iran, which has no investments in the United States and vice versa.
Knowing how much corporate America and many U.S. elites are invested in China, Xi is probably thinking to himself that Communist China could win a war against the United States before the first U.S. ships left port.
The Real Threat
There are new revelations about the Biden administration’s weaponization of the government. We just learned that senior officials in the Biden Justice Department and the FBI raised serious concerns about the infamous memo by Attorney General Merrick Garland targeting parents at school board meetings.
Even Garland’s chief of staff expressed concern after he received a call from Jonathan Thompson, head of the National Sheriffs Association.
Thompson wanted to know why the Justice Department was interfering in local school board issues. When told that the FBI was supposed to coordinate with local law enforcement, Thompson said the nation’s sheriffs never heard from the FBI and never expressed any concerns about threats to local school boards.
The whole thing was a made-up scam to intimidate and silence conservative parents by labeling them as domestic terrorists!
Consider this exchange between top Justice Department officials:
OFFICIAL 1: “I don’t think it’s possible to state how strongly I object to this. . . If they do this, they might as well rename the damn thing the Anti-MAGA Task Force.”
OFFICIAL 2: “Exactly! Stupid, stupid, stupid.”
By the way, we recently learned that top FBI officials objected to the raid on President Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago because there wasn’t probable cause to justify such an extreme act. But Biden’s Justice Department overrode them.
This is what totalitarian Marxists do any time they get power. And that is the real threat to freedom and liberty in America, not Donald Trump.
Children At Risk

Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin and Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche held a joint press conference yesterday. They announced the first in a series of coming indictments against individuals who trafficked children across Joe Biden’s open border.
Blanche said that 475,000 unaccompanied children entered the United States during the Biden administration. Many were turned over to unvetted “sponsors.” And while the Department of Health and Human Services, led then by California gubernatorial candidate Xavier Becerra (D), was supposed to keep track of these children, they lost 300,000 of them.
The Trump administration has made it a top priority to find them. Here’s some of what Secretary Mullin said yesterday:
“I tell people that I haven’t quit smiling since I’ve been secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, but I have to take that back because when we start digging into these cases, you start hearing the absolutely horrific things that took place underneath the Biden administration. . .
“[The] Department of Homeland Security, truly using the best of the best, which the Democrats sometimes want to demonize [and defund] . . . We found 146,000 kids so far. . .
“We’re investigating reports where some of these kids claim that they were raped six to 700 times. . . I don’t care if you’re a liberal, you’re independent, you’re a Democrat, you’re a Republican. If you can’t stand for law enforcement to go find these kids, who are you? . . .
“And do you know where we’re finding the most of them? Sanctuary cities. Because they know they’re safe.”
Mamdani’s Commies
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is surrounding himself with Marxists and staging a hostile takeover of the Democrat Party. He recently endorsed Darializa Avila Chevalier, who is challenging Rep. Adriano Espaillat (D) in New York’s 13th Congressional District.
Chevalier is a communist. She has called for abolishing police, prisons and borders. In one social media post, she wrote, “Seize the means of production,” a central pillar of communism. Chevalier also reposted, “Israel doesn’t exist!”
The radical Left’s strategy is clear. They intend to conquer the Democrat Party by winning primaries in every district with an overwhelming Democrat majority. In the 13th District, the primary is the only election that matters—Democrats outnumber Republicans 14 to 1.
In 10 years or less, there will be 100 people like Chevalier in Congress, and she could well be leading the “Congressional Communist Caucus.”
Poll Position
The latest Emerson College poll finds Democrats leading the generic congressional ballot by 10 points. While Democrats are leading in most polls, Emerson’s is an outlier. Other recent polls put the Democrats’ lead closer to four or five points.
The National Republican Campaign Committee counters the polling with voter registration data. Democrats have lost voters in 27 of 28 battleground districts. But that doesn’t really matter in a “wave election.”
If there is something developing in the political environment where people are prepared to elect candidates like Graham Platner and James Talarico, then the country is entering a dangerous moment where politics is being driven more by extremism than common sense.
SpaceX IPO
If you look around the world at the explosion of technology in what will be remembered as the Trump era, interrupted by the “Snooze Guy,” it’s all happening in America. And today we saw once again the miracle of wealth creation in our free market economy in the SpaceX initial public offering (IPO).
Now, I know you don’t look to me for financial advice. But if you were thinking about buying SpaceX stock next week, I wouldn’t recommend it. At least, not yet. It may go up, but it is more likely to go down in a couple of weeks as the IPO excitement fades.
That said, it is probably a good buy in the long term. There is a reason Elon Musk is the richest man in the world. He is incredibly good at what he does.
Good News
- The Trump administration is conducting an audit to find out how 49 federally funded left-wing nonprofit organizations spent taxpayer dollars. Organizations on the list include the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), National Council of La Raza, Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and Transgender Equity Consulting.
- The Trump administration has presided over “the single largest decrease in violent crime and murder since 1937.” President Trump is making America safe again.
- A federal judge rejected a lawsuit filed by Democrats seeking to block enforcement of President Trump’s executive order tightening rules for mail-in balloting. This is a significant win for election integrity.
- Indiana Gov. Mike Braun declared June to be “Nuclear Family Month,” joining Alabama, Arkansas and Tennessee in taking a strong pro-family stand.
- Virginia prosecutors and sheriffs are refusing to enforce an unconstitutional “assault weapons” ban signed into law by Democrat Gov. Abigail Spanberger. Her assault on the Second Amendment is already costing the state more than 100 jobs.
