Mob Rule

Police officers in Madison, Wisconsin, were dispatched Wednesday in response to reports of a man attempting to break into cars. The suspect, Corey Ruiz, initially fled, but officers caught up to him. One officer deployed a taser, but it failed to subdue Ruiz.

During the ensuing scuffle, career criminal Ruiz pulled out a knife and wounded one of the police officers. Welcome to the risks facing our police. At that point, Ruiz was shot and killed. The officers involved have been put on administrative leave while the city conducts a full investigation.

Ruiz has a long “rap sheet,” including disorderly conduct, drug possession including cocaine, auto theft, battery, invasion of privacy, robbery, strangulation, resisting an officer and causing bodily harm.

City and police officials held a press conference yesterday to deal with radical groups trying to turn Ruiz’s death into the latest left-wing cause. The press conference itself was disrupted when dozens of radicals stormed into the room and hijacked the podium.

City officials and police officers in the room simply passively stood there while this “anti-Zionist revolutionary intercommunalist” railed against the police, oppression, America, blah, blah, blah.

He began his unhinged rant by declaring, “All power to all people! Zero power to Zionists! Zero power to capitalists! Zero power to colonialism!” Where’s a taser when you need one?!

A woman in the mob held up a sign that read, “Corrupt cops deserve to die too!!! F—k you Kill Peterson.” “Peterson” is identified in social media posts as the last name of the officer who allegedly shot Ruiz.

Whatever happened between the police and Corey Ruiz, I’m confident that no one was thinking about Zionism, capitalism or colonialism at the time. But this is the Left’s narrative as they try to create a pre-revolutionary atmosphere.

The Left is stoking hatred. It’s what Marxists always do. Everything is the “oppressed” versus the “oppressors.” The Left has promoted identity politics for decades, and now it’s on steroids, building up as we approach the election. Establishment Democrats are doing their best to keep a lid on the Left’s radicalism, hoping you don’t notice it.

But it’s amazing to me how few elected Republicans are talking about it. It’s been left to President Trump, Speaker Johnson and a few others.

Every Republican candidate should force their Democrat opponent to either embrace the revolutionary agenda of the Democrat Socialists of America or condemn them. Republicans have to make Democrats own the DSA.

More Leftist Hate

Ever since basketball start Caitlin Clark burst onto the WNBA scene, she’s been physically targeted by opposing team players. Referees have repeatedly looked the other way. USA Today sports writer Nancy Armour weighed in on the Clark controversy by claiming the complaints about how she is being mistreated are putting Black WNBA players in danger.

The American people are watching a basketball start getting regularly beaten up on the basketball court. They’re wondering why the WNBA is allowing its star player and major media draw to endure such abuse and risk injuries that would end her career.

Immediately, the Left tries to turns it into a race issue, claiming Clark is stirring up “White nationalists” and risking the lives of Black players. Armour’s column connected Clark to Emmett Till, a Black teenager who was brutally murdered in Mississippi in 1955 after he was accused of raping a White woman.

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy said Armour should be fired and locked up in an insane asylum for “writing the dumbest paragraph in the history of sports.” I agree!

Dire Warning

Control of the Senate will likely be determined by the outcome of half a dozen Senate races. Control of the House of Representatives will likely come down to about 15 out of 435 House seats.

But based on current polling data, you’re going to wake up the morning after Election Day—or maybe two weeks later when the vote counting is done in some states—to find that Christian haters, antisemites and anti-American Marxists have a “caucus” in Congress and that we have lost both the House and the Senate.

The way that will happen is if current polling trends continue. All the data are pointing to far-left voters turning out in record numbers on Election Day, while turnout among frequent churchgoers and other conservatives massively drops.

My friends, we can’t afford to be complacent. Make sure your friends and family members are registered to vote and paying attention to the disturbing growth of Marxist political power.

If you or anyone you know isn’t registered to vote, go to VOTE.gov now.

Defending Faith, Family & Freedom

In my latest “Defending Faith, Family & Freedom” podcast for the James Dobson Family Institute, I take on the vicious, hate-filled attack against Christians and homeschoolers by leftist podcasters Jennifer Welch and Angie Sullivan. You’ve got hear them to understand what we’re up against and what it will mean for you and your family if the Left gains power.

Good News

  • President Trump announced that more than 220 utilities, companies and government agencies had signed on to his Ratepayer Protection Pledge. The pledge is meant to ensure that American consumers are protected from utility price hikes due to data centers’ energy usage and infrastructure demands.
  • The Trump administration’s efforts to secure the border and enforce our immigration laws are saving taxpayers money.
  • While legal challenges are still pending, the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals is allowing the Post Office to move forward with plans to require states to submit their voter rolls for federal inspection if they are going to send out mail-in ballots. If a state refuses, the Post Office can refuse to transmit those ballots. This is a win for election integrity.
  • The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the illegal aliens do not have a right to remain free (and disappear) during their removal proceedings. This is a big win for the Trump administration’s immigration enforcement policies.
  • House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan referred Biden Special Counsel Jack Smith to the Justice Department for prosecution. Jordan alleges that Smith lied during his congressional testimony when he denied seizing the text messages of members of Congress.
