The Neo-Marxist Left vs. Parents

 

There’s something bizarre going on in the fevered minds of progressives and leftists these days.  I know that doesn’t surprise you. 

 

But consider this:  Today’s left is demonizing parents who want to protect their children from inappropriate material, while simultaneously trying to prevent young adults from learning the things they should know.

 

In his announcement video this week, Joe Biden said that parents protecting their children from explicit, graphic sexual material in public schools are “banning books.”  That kind of rhetoric recalls images of Nazis burning books by Jewish authors in the 1930s.  

 

Get it?  Biden wants us to think America’s parents are Nazis.  Of course, it was Joe Biden who ordered the FBI to spy on concerned parents at school board meetings.  Talk about fascism!

 

Meanwhile, more than 670 professors at the University of North Carolina signed a letter protesting new legislation that would require college students to learn about America’s founding documents -- the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, the Gettysburg Address and even the writings of Martin Luther King, Jr. 

 

These neo-Marxist professors condemned the legislation as “ideological indoctrination.”

 

No, that’s exactly what the legislation is trying to combat!

 

There’s no denying the left’s efforts to demonize moms and dads who want to keep disgusting sexual material and anti-American material away from the hearts and minds of our children. 

 

Remember former Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe?  He spoke for a lot of Democrats when he said parents should have no say over what is taught in the schools we pay for with our tax dollars. 

 

Yet, Democrats haven’t learned much from McAuliffe’s defeat to Glenn Youngkin.  Two Virginia Democrat legislators were caught on an open mic bashing parental rights legislation as “crap,” “garbage” and “stupid.” 

 

This is insane!  But that’s today’s left.

 

 

 

More Leftist Lunacy

 

A couple of issues caught my attention in the past 24 hours that really highlight the left’s lunacy.

 

Minnesota lawmakers are currently debating changes to the state’s anti-discrimination laws.  But the bill, introduced by a transgender legislator, seeks to amend state law in part by deleting the following sentence:  “‘Sexual orientation’ does not include a physical or sexual attachment to children by an adult.” 

 

Why on earth would any lawmaker want to eliminate that sentence from the state’s legal code?  It appears as though someone is trying to normalize pedophilia.

 

Another bill seeks to establish new state registry, sort of like the state’s sex offender registry.  But this database is for people who engage in “biased hate speech,” even if it’s not an actual violation of the law. 

 

During the debate on the legislation, one conservative legislator asked the sponsor of the bill if someone who writes an article claiming that “Covid-19 is a Chinese bioweapon that was leaked from a lab in Wuhan” could be reported to this “bias registry.”

 

The Democrat sponsor essentially said “Yes.”  Welcome to George Orwell’s 1984.  The thought crime registry is here!

 

Meanwhile, Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) is under fire for signing a non-disclosure agreement when she participated in talks with a company linked to the Chinese Communist Party. 

 

The company has since announced that it is building an electric vehicle battery plant in Michigan, thanks to $700 million in state grants.

 

Slotkin should know better when it comes to dealing with communist China.  She worked for the CIA before getting elected to Congress.

 

Michigan is totally dominated by Democrats now.  And the former Democrat governor of the state, Jennifer Granholm, has a well-documented history of green energy boondoggles. 

 

Believe it or not, Granholm is now Biden’s Secretary of Energy – another example of “failing up.”  She was grilled this week on Capitol Hill about why the Biden Administration is giving hundreds of millions of your tax dollars to communist Chinese battery companies.

 

 

 

The Two Americas

 

Barack Obama burst on to the political scene in 2004 when he delivered a speech decrying the idea of two Americas.  “There isn’t liberal America and conservative America.  There is the United States of America.” 

 

Sadly, we are increasingly divided over the most fundamental issues and values.  As I just noted in the previous item, we see what happens when the left gains total control.  Now, compare that to what the right does when it gets control. 

 

Conservatives try to pass reasonable protections for preborn babies, especially as they get closer to birth.  Conservative try to restore respect for faith. 

 

They pass commonsense laws ensuring that women and girls have privacy when they go to bathrooms or gym locker rooms, and don’t have to worry about men walking in and exposing themselves.

 

We pass laws to make our streets safer, and we empower families to send their kids to good schools, freeing them from failing schools.

 

Yes, there are two Americas. 

 

One prioritizes faith, family and freedom -- the values America was built on. 

 

The other demonizes normalcy, promotes sexual anarchy and criminals’ rights over victims’ rights, and cares more about censoring what it considers “hate speech” than it does about preserving free speech. 

 

There is a natural impulse to “go along to get along.”  But the left won’t “get along.”  It means to rule or ruin.

 

Christians, conservatives and Republicans must realize that just “getting along” can’t be the goal.  (I’m not talking about situations involving your family members or neighbors.) 

 

When it comes to governing, there are two dramatically different visions before us.  One will prevail and the other will lose. 

 

 

 

A Sign Of Hope

 

This story is outrageous, but it’s also a sign of hope.  You can watch this video and see how a Fox News affiliate in Los Angeles explains the story.  But here’s the bottom line.

 

A transgender bully, a large boy, has been harassing girls in the girls’ bathroom at Martin Luther King High School for weeks.  How could school officials allow this to go on for one second, let alone weeks? 

 

But the young men in the school took matters into their own hands and started defending the girls.  I don’t know about you, but I find this “resistance” to the left’s woke insanity encouraging news for America.

 

 

 

Biden vs. The Kids

 

As we noted yesterday, the White House staff was very concerned about Joe Biden’s ability to handle tough policy questions from one of the nation’s leading newspapers.  So, it forced reporters to submit questions in advance and gave the president a “cheat sheet” for Wednesday’s press conference.  (It didn’t help.)

 

But the White House staff really failed big time.  The president faced a much tougher audience yesterday and was totally stumped.  It turns out that the Washington press corps is no match for a group of kids!

 

While talking to the children of White House employees, Biden was flummoxed when one asked what was the last country he visited.  The president struggled to remember, saying:

 

"The last country I've traveled -- I'm trying to think the last one I was in -- I, I've been to 89 -- I've met with 89 heads of state so far, so, uh -- I'm trying to think. What was the last. . . Where was the last place I was?  It's hard to keep track.

 

Eventually, another child, who just couldn’t take it anymore, reminded Biden that he just returned from an extended trip to Ireland.

 

But wait. . . There’s more!

 

A little child really tripped the president up by asking how many grandchildren he had.  “I have six grandchildren,” Biden said.  He has seven. 

 

And if you think that’s embarrassing, Biden got totally confused when he tried to remember where they all live.

 

Inquiring minds want to know:  Were these children Russian agents sent to embarrass the president?  Or is Joe’s seventh grandchild just “Russian disinformation”?

• A Christian teacher fired for objecting to LGBTQ-themed books in a Georgia elementary school library was reinstated and paid $181,000 in a settlement.

 

Kim Foxx, a notorious Soros-funded, soft-on-crime prosecutor, announced that she will not seek reelection in 2024.
