Biden Lies Again

 

President Biden went to the Left Coast yesterday for a fundraiser in Portland, Oregon.  Incredibly, a recent poll found his approval rating had fallen to 35% in Oregon, a state he won by 16 points.

 

While speaking to donors, Biden attacked Florida Republicans, saying, "There's nothing conservative by throwing Disney out . . . over saying 'gay.'"  There he goes again.  Biden repeated an even more distorted version of what's actually happening in Florida. 

 

This has been the lie told from Day One of this controversy.  Because it has been repeated countless times by the "fake news media," we must repeat the truth.

 

The Florida law prohibits teachers, counselors and other school officials from talking to children in kindergarten through third grade about gender fluidity, sexual orientation or similar matters. Beyond the third grade, the law calls for only age-appropriate curriculum to be used. 

 

This is reasonable, logical and good public policy.  And it is overwhelmingly popular. 

 

Sadly, it is also necessary to stop what is clearly a nationwide effort by the left to drive a wedge between parents and their children by telling children not to tell their parents what is being discussed in the government-run schools.  (Here and here.)

 

As Dr. James Dobson and I warned in our book "Children At Risk," this is the kind of radicalism the left has been pushing for decades.

 

What is so disturbing and telling is that the so-called "moderate wing" of the Democrat Party, which includes Joe Biden, is all in on using taxpayer-funded schools to indoctrinate children about any sexual idea they want, and you're a bigot if you object.

 

We've seen this trend before.  On abortion, it started out as a difficult choice in the most extreme circumstances.  It was supposed to be "safe, legal and rare."  But now the left insists on the unrestricted right to take the life of preborn children at any point in pregnancy, and you must pay for it.

 

Just a few years ago, the Democrat Party said, "It's not fair that a man can't marry another man he loves."  Now they are demanding to teach your six year-old about transgenderism, and the president of the United States is leading the charge.

RIP CNN+

 

As you know, most major network and cable media companies are left-wing.  There's ABC, CNN, CBS, MSNBC and NBC.  For some reason, CNN decided that we needed another left-wing news outlet.  So, a few weeks ago, it launched a new streaming service called CNN+. 

 

It was supposed to be a huge hit.  They invested $300 million in CNN+ and hired a lot of big-name talent, including Fox News NeverTrumper Chris Wallace. 

 

But a funny thing happened on the way to streaming success.  The viewership for CNN+ was smaller than a typical Trump rally.  So, CNN pulled the plug this week, and a lot of liberals got fired. 

 

When conservatives on social media mocked CNN's failure, many leftists insisted on civility and compassion.  Really?

 

Well, maybe this will be a teachable moment.  South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem tweeted to all the whining liberals, "Now you know how the Keystone XL Pipeline workers feel."

 

Maybe now these CNN liberals will have compassion for the millions of Americans whose jobs were sent to communist China in the name of "free trade." 

 

Maybe now they will understand how American citizens feel when they lose a job to illegal aliens or individuals on foreign work visas.

 

Maybe now they will have more sympathy for the police officer who lays down his life while protecting total strangers. 

 

We don't need another left-wing news outlet, and we certainly don't need lectures about compassion from intolerant liberals. 

 

 

 

Battling Big Tech

 

There's a bipartisan effort in Congress to advance anti-trust legislation aimed at Big Tech companies like Twitter, Facebook and Google.  From a conservative standpoint, we'd like to stop the censorship of conservative views that routinely happens on these platforms. 

 

But now a group of former intelligence and national security officials have jumped into the debate, urging that the legislation be killed. 

 

They're warning that the Big Tech companies must remain powerful monopolies so they can stop disinformation.  Otherwise, our enemies like Russia will be able to spread propaganda in America.

 

Ironically, some of these former officials are the same partisans who in 2020 labeled Hunter Biden's laptop "Russian disinformation."  Their "expert opinion" then gave Big Tech the cover to censor anyone, including a legitimate media outlet, who brought up the laptop and raised questions about the Biden family's relationship with communist China. 

 

I'm sorry, but these hacks have lost all credibility!  This is another example of the Swamp at work, and the real threat to democracy in America. 

 

It is the collusion of Deep State operatives working with Big Tech oligarchs and the corporate media to silence debate by making it nearly impossible for conservative ideas to be heard and seen in the public square. 

 

This is why, even if you don't like everything about Elon Musk, you should hope he succeeds in taking over Twitter. 

 

This tyrannical left-wing juggernaut is a serious threat to our First Amendment rights, and we must break it up.

 

 

 

Earth Day

 

As you probably know, it's Earth Day.  You can't turn on the TV or go online without some screaming headline about global warming or a left-wing social media post lecturing us on how we must radically transform our lives in order to save the planet.

 

Well, here's what the left isn't telling you.  Joe Biden's radical environmental agenda is going to cost you – a lot.  And it's not about the planet.  It's about using government power to control your life. 

 

The left wants to force you to drive an electric car.  High gas prices aren't a mistake, but the actual intended consequences of the left's policies.  The left wants to control how you cook and even what you eat – all in the name of saving the planet. 

 

Some leftists even want to keep you locked in your house.  They celebrated the pandemic lockdowns for their positive impact on the environment, which came at tremendous costs to the economy.  But they're okay with that because they're radical socialists bent on destroying capitalism.  (Here, here and here.)

 

Here's another point to keep in mind:  The left-wing climate alarmists ARE ALWAYS WRONG.  Check out this excellent column by the late, great Walter Williams on the many grossly inaccurate declarations and predictions of so-called "climate change experts." 

 

But let me give you just one example:  In 2004, our Pentagon warned President George W. Bush that because of climate change "major European cities will be sunk beneath rising seas as Britain is plunged into a 'Siberian' climate by 2020." 

 

Thank God we didn't waste trillions of dollars on some version of the "Green New Deal" in 2004 trying to prevent that disaster!

 

Now, here's something else the left won't tell you today.  Without the "Green New Deal," the United States already has perhaps the cleanest environment in the world.  And decades after the first Earth Day, we've accomplished virtually every major goal the environmental movement had at the time.

 

Don't take my word for it.  The left-wing media outlet Axios wrote in 2017, "The EPA has (mostly) solved the most basic and widespread public health and environmental problems that plagued the U.S. back around the '60's." 

 

 

 

Good News

 

• Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed legislation protecting preborn babies.  He also signed legislation requiring tenured professors to submit to periodic reviews.

 

• Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo issued guidelines instructing medical professionals to resist pushing "irreversible decisions" [transgender medical procedures] on children.  More state health leaders should do the same!

 

• The Florida Department of Education rejected a record number of math textbooks for containing critical race theory.

 

• Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt signed legislation protecting preborn babies.

 

• The Kentucky legislature overrode the vetoes of Gov. Andy Beshear to enact legislation protecting preborn babies and protecting girls' sports from boys who claim to be girls.

 

• A Christian professor won a lawsuit against a public university in Ohio over the forced use of "preferred pronouns."
