Enemies Of The People

 

It’s been 48 hours since the Durham report was released.  So, this is a good time to consider how it has been received, especially by the media.

 

It must be noted that John Durham is one of the most respected figures in federal law enforcement because of his meticulous work as a state and federal prosecutor over many decades. 

 

He prosecuted against the mafia.  He investigated abuses at the CIA.  He prosecuted a corrupt Republican governor of Connecticut.  He led efforts to exonerate several individuals who were falsely convicted on murder charges due to corruption at the FBI. 

 

Even left-wing Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy has praised Durham’s “reputation [for] being apolitical and serious,” which is the way it should be. 

 

So, now this highly-respected, genuine public servant has produced a hugely significant report.  It declared that there was no collusion between Donald Trump and the Russians, and it found that the FBI had no justification for launching its investigation of Trump because the Bureau knew it was all an absurd hoax. 

 

What does that tell us about the American media, which promoted that hoax 24/7 for years?

 

Well, 48 hours later, neither the New York Times nor the Washington Post, which won prestigious Pulitzer Prizes for their fake news on the Russia collusion hoax, have felt compelled to return the awards and apologize to the American people for reporting a lie.

 

Incredibly, the Post declared yesterday that it “stands by its lying” -- I mean “reporting.”

 

Really?  So, the Washington Post still believes this lie is true?!

 

Maybe it’s too much to ask a reporter to give back a career-making award.  Pulitzers are what reporters live for. 

 

But how about this:  Let’s give the reporters the benefit of the doubt and assume that they sincerely believed their sources precisely because they were in the FBI and on Capitol Hill (Adam Schiff).  Well, in that case they were deliberately deceived.  

 

These so-called “journalists,” these guardians of the truth, these members of the Fourth Estate, should all be outraged that they were lied to and played for fools.

 

Will any reporter write an article saying, “I have called the sources who provided me with off the record, anonymous details about Russian collusion that we now know were lies.  I have asked them for an explanation and a public apology.”

 

I’m not holding my breath.  In fact, many of these reporters are now attacking Durham and his report.

 

What was the Washington Post motto again? Oh, right, “Democracy Dies In Darkness.” 

 

These “journalists” are political hacks.  They are a threat to our Republic.  They are as Donald Trump rightly labeled them, “Enemies of the people.” 

 

And they are part of a slow-motion insurrection.  They are part of a conspiracy to destroy the former president, who may be president again, and the Americans who support him.

 

 

 

McCarthy Vindicated

 

The Durham report not only vindicated Donald Trump, it also vindicated Speaker Kevin McCarthy.  As you may recall, McCarthy insisted on removing Adam Schiff from the House Intelligence Committee for his repeated lies about “evidence” of Russian collusion.

 

Speaking on the Fox Business Network, McCarthy defended his action, saying:

 

“You had Adam Schiff, who was chairman of the Intelligence Committee, lying day after day to the American public that he had proof.  Now we’re finding in the Durham Report his own staffer threatened witnesses!  I mean, why is this individual still even in Congress?”

 

That’s a good question. 

 

Democrats are trying to force a vote on expelling George Santos, a two-bit liar, because he lied to make himself look better.  I think Republicans should move to expel Adam Schiff, who abused his position and repeatedly lied to undermine the Republic and to bring down our duly-elected government. 

 

Schiff’s lies are orders of magnitude worse than anything Santos did!  Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, Jerry Nadler and others created the atmosphere that made January 6th possible. 

 

Millions of Americans were beyond frustrated, knowing they had been repeatedly lied to by left-wing politicians and Deep State operatives who interfered in our elections. The amazing thing is that so few of them engaged in an actual riot!

 

 

 

Left-wing Lunacy

 

My good friend Tom Rose recently drove across a number of midwestern states.  He said he always enjoys crossing into Illinois and seeing its signs proudly proclaiming Illinois as the “The Land of Lincoln.” 

 

But he said he must have missed the Lincoln signs this time.  What he saw first was a signing proclaiming Illinois as “The Land of Legal Abortion.”  He later saw another sign declaring Illinois as “The Land of Legal Cannabis.”

 

When some future historian writes a book about the rise and fall of the United States, this little vignette probably deserves its own chapter. 

 

The state that once honored Abraham Lincoln, who freed the slaves because all men are created in the image of God, today brags about destroying little babies made in the image of God and destroying the minds of our youth.

 

Speaking of Lincoln, I didn’t fully realize that he once addressed the delusions of the radical transgendered movement, which claims that a man can take drugs and have surgery to magically become a woman. 

 

It’s been said that Lincoln once rhetorically asked an audience, “If you call a dog’s tail a leg, how many legs does it have?”  When some people answered, “Five,” Lincoln explained that the correct answer was four because, “Calling a tail a leg doesn’t make it one.”

 

That is the lie the entire transgender movement is built on.  The only difference is that far too many Americans today, including some Christians, have embraced the lie.  They want to be nice.  They don’t want to use the wrong pronouns. 

 

Well, they’re not the ones using the wrong pronouns.  The trans activists are the ones using the wrong pronouns by insisting that a man be called “she,” “they” or “zir.”

 

I’m sure the transgender movement will also get its own chapter in any book about the rise and fall of America.

 

 

 

Putting America Last

 

Illegal immigration and open borders might deserve a couple of chapters when it comes to the demise of America.  Here’s the latest.

 

New York City mothers got a sad Mother’s Day gift over the weekend when they received a notice from school officials informing them that the gym at their local school was being converted into migrant housing. 

 

There was no advance warning, and no input from “stakeholders” (to use one of the left’s favorite buzzwords) was sought.  The migrants were there Monday, and attendance was down at least 25% yesterday as many parents kept their children home from school.

 

One mother explained, “If you’re going to accept people in, that’s fine, but they should be nowhere near kids. It’s not the right place.  We don’t know who they are. We don’t know where they’re coming from.  We don’t know anything about them.”

 

Her concerns are more than justified.  There could be a rapist, a gang member, a drug dealer or a child molester in the school gym. 

 

Various reports indicate that Mayor Eric Adams is looking at converting as many as 20 school gyms into housing for illegal aliens.

 

Meanwhile, bankrupt California is considering legislation to give $300 a week in unemployment benefits to illegal aliens. 

 

It is outrageous and incredibly depressing that left-wing politicians are pushing such extreme policies and putting Americans last as we are headed into yet another election that will likely be decided by a few thousand votes in a handful of states.  There appears to be no cure for stupid.
