Judicial Jihad
The U.S. Court of International Trade, an obscure court 99.99% of Americans have never heard of, just joined the judicial jihad against President Trump and his MAGA agenda.
Yesterday evening, the trade court struck down the president’s broad tariff policy as an overreach of executive authority. The court did not say that the president has no authority to impose tariffs. Specific tariffs on steel, aluminum, lumber, and semiconductors are not impacted by this decision.
But the court ruled that the president cannot use emergency powers to enact a broad tariff policy, such as the president’s 10% baseline global tariffs. This ruling severely limits the president’s ability to use tariffs as a tool of economic policy, foreign policy, and national security policy.
It definitely complicates his ability to renegotiate bad trade deals and force other nations to abandon their unfair trade practices.
The Trump administration immediately appealed the decision, and the White House issued the following statement:
“Foreign countries’ nonreciprocal treatment of the United States has fueled America’s historic and persistent trade deficits. These deficits have created a national emergency that has decimated American communities, left our workers behind, and weakened our defense industrial base. . .
“It is not for unelected judges to decide how to properly address a national emergency. President Trump pledged to put America First, and the Administration is committed to using every lever of executive power to address this crisis and restore American Greatness.”
The people cheering this decision and other court rulings as “protecting democracy” have it backwards. These decisions are thwarting democracy by thwarting the clear will of the American people.
These decisions were not issued with the same ferocity and velocity when Obama and Biden were pushing the limits of executive authority. So, you know something else is going on.
The Left, as it has done for decades, is using unelected judges to block conservative policies and force its agenda on the American people.
THIS JUST IN: A federal appeals court has temporarily blocked the international trade court’s ruling, reinstating the president’s 10% baseline tariffs for now.
Forgery & Fraud
The Biden autopen scandal continues to fester. A conservative organization that advocates for domestic energy production is raising serious concerns that Biden’s autopen was used to enact major policy changes because Biden never talked about them and was seemingly unaware of them.
For example, when Speaker Mike Johnson confronted Biden in the Oval Office about his ban on exporting liquified natural gas, Biden declared, “I didn’t do that!” When Johnson pressed him on the executive order that was signed a few weeks before, Biden again denied signing such an order.
It has long been established that signatures signed by an autopen for a president, a governor, or a member of Congress are legitimate and legally binding.
The issue with Biden’s autopen is whether someone signed the president’s name to a document under false pretenses or was unauthorized to do so. That’s forgery.
However, in Biden’s case, we also have the secondary concern of whether he was even able to give his consent to use the autopen.
We’re being told by numerous reporters and members of Congress that they knew he was failing quickly. But they thought they could get him reelected and would only need to show periodic “proof of life” during his second term while the White House staff ran the country behind the scenes.
Well, that’s essentially confessing to the fraud of Biden’s presidency and admitting that they would be (and likely already were) forging his signature without his knowledge.
If Biden didn’t know or wasn’t capable of “knowing” that his autopen signature was being used, it would be a forgery of an official U.S. document. That’s a federal crime. It’s also impersonating a federal official. That’s a federal crime.
Again, this is the biggest scandal in American history!
Rubio’s On A Roll
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is on a roll!
In recent congressional testimony, he noted just how inefficient USAID was. Rubio said that only 12 cents on the dollar actually reached aid recipients, while 88 cents was spent “supporting the foreign aid industrial complex.”
He just announced plans to massively overhaul the State Department by merging or eliminating 44% of its offices and bureaus, resulting in 3,400 fewer bureaucrats at the department.
He’s taking on the foreign censorship complex by imposing visa restrictions on foreign officials and individuals who limit free speech. This is important because we know agencies of the Biden administration worked with foreign governments to impose censorship policies in the United States.
And Secretary Rubio is also confronting communist China.
He announced yesterday that the nearly 280,000 Chinese foreign students in America will be getting extra scrutiny. Any Chinese student with known connections to the Chinese Communist Party or those “studying” in critical fields will have their student visas revoked.
The left-wing media outlet Politico said Rubio’s move would hurt us economically. That’s the same argument that was used to justify giving communist China “most favored nation” trading status. We were told free trade would turn the Chinese communists into capitalists and create great economic opportunities for America. That’s not what happened.
But more to the point, communist China’s spying is hurting us economically and in every other way imaginable!
We hear this all the time. Former FBI Director Christopher Wray testified that the FBI was opening a new China counterintelligence investigation every 12 hours and that the communist regime was the greatest threat to our country.
When asked what keeps him up at night, FBI Director Kash Patel said it was communist China “for a whole host of reasons.”
The threats from communist China are not conspiracy theories, and they should have been addressed long before now.
Patel v. Comey
During a Fox News interview yesterday, FBI Director Patel was asked about the criticisms leveled against him by fired FBI Director James Comey. Patel didn’t hold back. He said:
“I just want to remind the American people of one thing. When that man was a leader of the FBI, he perpetrated the largest criminal conspiracy, packaged political information from overseas, took it to a federal FISA court, and illegally surveilled a political opponent. So, I won’t be lectured on how to run this FBI from that man.”
Patel also blasted Comey for his seashells social media post threatening the life of the president, saying it totally disrupted FBI operations.
Patel said the FBI was forced to divert agents from serious criminal investigations to chase down a deluge of copycat threats inspired by Comey’s post. They had to determine if each one was a credible threat against the president or just another deranged leftist.
So, James Comey tried to destroy a president, and, in the process, he destroyed the reputation of the FBI. And he’s still hurting the FBI today, while patriots like Kash Patel and Dan Bongino are trying to restore the FBI’s reputation.
Speaking of patriots, Patel also noted that new agent applications at the FBI are breaking records and coming in at twice the monthly rate compared to recent years.
Left Coast Lunacy
The battle to restore common sense and normalcy appears to be making some progress in California. After recent controversies involving boys cheating in girls’ sports, state athletic officials have been frantically changing the rules for an upcoming championship event.
First, they decided that any girl who lost a qualifying competition to a cheating boy would be invited to compete in the championship event. Now, they’re going a step further.
If a girl loses a medal to a cheating boy, she will be awarded the winning medal she would have otherwise received. So, if a cheating boy finishes first in a race and a girl comes in second, the girl will be awarded a first-place medal she deserves, in addition to the cheating boy.
Governor Gavin Newsom said these changes were “reasonable and respectful.” Respectfully, I disagree.
It’s really very simple, and even the governor of California should be able to understand it. Don’t let boys cheat in girls’ sports! There is nothing reasonable or respectful about forcing girls to compete against boys in girls’ sports.
How much time and effort has been wasted because of this leftist lunacy? How much heartbreak have so many girls suffered because of this idiocy?
Title IX was created to protect women’s sports. By definition, only women can get the benefits of Title IX. You cannot become a woman if you were born a man. End of story.
Musk Moves On
Elon Musk has formally ended his work with the Trump administration, but his DOGE team is still working in various agencies. In fact, they just gained access to Treasury Department data that is critical for an effective audit.
There is some frustration that more of the proposed cuts from the DOGE team were not included in the Big Beautiful Bill. There is a reason for that.
The bill passed by the House and now under consideration in the Senate is a budget reconciliation bill. Because of that special classification, it cannot be filibustered in the Senate.
This is the only way we can pass significant legislation vital to President Trump’s agenda. Otherwise, we would need 60 votes in the Senate, and that’s not going to happen.
However, the reconciliation process can’t be used for everything. It is very complicated, and there are strict rules about what can and cannot be in a bill under this process.
Much of what people wanted can’t be put into a reconciliation bill. So, the House will soon take up a recession bill from the White House that includes recommended DOGE cuts.
Here’s the bottom line: The opposition party is not going to cooperate on anything, making it difficult to cut the size of government. That’s why Trump has been doing everything he can through executive orders. It’s also why we can’t sit idly by as the courts block him at every turn.
He’s not trying to be a king. He’s trying to do what we elected him to do.
