Campaign for Working Families

Stand With Me

I have heard from several friends and supporters in recent days expressing their frustration with the overwhelming number of fundraising requests they’re getting from candidates and committees they’ve never heard of.  They don’t know who they can trust, and they just don’t have the time to sort them all out.

If you’ll permit me a bit of shameless self-promotion, I’ll tell you the same thing I told them:  Support Campaign for Working Families and save yourself the frustration!

CWF is a political action committee dedicated to electing pro-family, pro-life, America First conservatives to office.  I’ll make sure your hard-earned dollars go to the right candidates in the most important races!

If you want to stop Joe Biden’s radical agenda, stand with CWF now!

The Left’s Eco-Insanity

Do you enjoy your iPhone?  Do you like having a comfortable home in the summer and winter?  Do you think abundant and affordable energy is important to our economy and national security?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, then you’ve got big problems with today’s left that insanely believes “green energy” will power everything.  It won’t and it can’t.

But economics and reality don’t matter.  The left has its narrative, and it is pushing its radical agenda full speed ahead – no matter the damage or risks.  The left’s insanity was on full display yesterday during a House Financial Services Committee hearing.

Seeking to publicly shame America’s financial industry leaders for not sufficiently kowtowing to the radical “green” agenda, Rep. Rashida Tlaib asked, “Does your bank have a policy against funding new oil and gas products?”

The CEO of Citigroup said, “We will continue to invest in and support clients who are investing in fossil fuels and in helping them transition to cleaner energies.”  The head of Bank of America said something similar.

But it was J.P. Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon who gave the best response.  He very succinctly said, “Absolutely not, and that would be the road to hell for America.”

He’s right!

Let me remind you that immediately after stumbling into the Oval Office, Joe Biden canceled the Keystone XL pipeline and started suspending oil and natural gas leases.  What happened?  Gas prices started going up and up and up.

It wasn’t long before we were all paying record prices for gasoline, and Biden was begging Venezuela’s Marxist dictator for more oil as gas prices surged to $5.00 a gallon.

But that’s not all.  Biden’s Democrat allies have been on a jihad against America’s energy companies.  Congressional Democrats have been pressuring banks to cut off loans to fossil fuel companies, and they’re still at it!

As we have reported, Europe is in the middle of a major energy crisis with skyrocketing electricity prices that are busting family budgets and bankrupting businesses.  Why? Because Europe bought into the “green energy” hype, abandoned fossil fuels and doesn’t produce enough of its own energy.

Democrats are determined to repeat this foolishness.

Israel & Intersectionality

While we’re on the subject of foolishness, Rep. Tlaib is also making headlines for her latest anti-Semitic remarks against Israel.

Speaking to a forum sponsored by Americans for Justice in Palestine Action and American Muslims for Palestine, Tlaib said, “Among progressives, it has become clear that you cannot claim to hold progressive values, yet back Israel’s apartheid government.”

Once again, Tlaib has exposed a growing rift on the left, which is obsessed with identity politics and “intersectionality” – the Marxist notion that all progressives must conform and promote the same agenda.  But what happens when competing identities collide?

Needless to say, a lot of progressives quickly rejected Tlaib’s anti-Israel litmus test.

Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, blasted Tlaib’s remarks as “absolutely reprehensible.”  Rep. Jerry Nadler said he “fundamentally rejected” Tlaib’s claim that you cannot be pro-Israel and progressive.

In a strange way, Rep. Tlaib stumbled on a political truth.  The more conservative someone is, the more pro-Israel they are.  The more left-wing/socialist a person is, the more likely they are to hate Israel.

Biden & “Palestine”

There’s a lot I could critique about President Biden’s speech at the United Nations yesterday.  But I’ll restrain myself to one specific comment.  He said:

“The United States is committed to Israel’s security, full stop.  And a negotiated two-state solution remains, in our view, the best way to ensure Israel’s security and prosperity for the future and give the Palestinians the state to which they are entitled.”

Biden once again committed the United States to pursuing a so-called “two-state solution” to peace in the Middle East.  This is the same failed policy that every administration in modern memory – with the notable exception of the Trump/Pence Administration – has pursued to no avail.

And exactly why are the Palestinian people “entitled” to a state of their own?

There has never been a state called “Palestine.”  There was a Roman province by that name many centuries ago.  Jerusalem has never been the capital of a “Palestinian state.”  Jerusalem, “David’s City,” has only been the capital of the Jewish state of Israel.

The Palestinians today are led by a corrupt dictator and Holocaust denier.  When he gives up power, voluntarily or otherwise, it’s very likely that the terrorist thugs of Hamas, who already control Gaza, will take over the Palestinian Authority or any “state” that might emerge.

Why should we create another radical, Islamist state in the Middle East by carving it out of Judea and Samaria?

Is Trump Ready?

The rumors are swirling in Washington again.  Insiders say Donald Trump has made the decision to run for president in 2024.  He recently met with key people, and all signals were that he’s ready and eager to run again.

If Trump runs, he’s the clear frontrunner for the GOP nomination.  According to the latest Harvard/Harris poll, 59% of Republican voters said they would vote for Trump compared to 17% for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.  No other candidate received double digit support.

The Harvard/Harris poll also found Trump beating Joe Biden by three points, and defeating Kamala Harris by seven points.
