Biden's Basket Of Deplorables

Remember when Hillary Clinton condemned half the country to her "basket of deplorables"?  Well, Joe Biden did his best Hillary impersonation yesterday.  Biden blasted the MAGA movement (Make America Great Again) as "the most extreme political organization that's existed in American history."

Really?

More extreme than Antifa, which routinely engages in violence?

More extreme than the Black Panthers?

More extreme than radical environmentalists?

More extreme than the Nation of Islam?

Biden also suggested that conservatives want to ban contraception and kick "LGBTQ children" out of school.  No, what's really extreme is Biden's rhetoric.  Once again, this is pure demagoguery, and his outrageous slanders should be condemned.

But it's also a teachable moment.  Use it to remind your friends on the fence about who is really dividing America.

Joe Biden campaigned on a promise to unite the country.  Instead, he's pandered to the fringe left.  As a result, Americans overwhelmingly feel that Joe Biden is dividing us, rather than uniting us.

And what does the MAGA / America First movement stand for?

  • Following the Constitution.
  • Supporting law enforcement.
  • That skin color shouldn't matter.
  • That our leaders should put the interests of the United States before the interests of other countries.
  • That our borders should be secure.

These are hardly controversial ideas.  They're not even partisan ideas.  But just to reiterate the points I made in Friday's report, it's the left that has become utterly unhinged.  Elon Musk is right – it's the woke progressive movement that has radically moved to the far-left fringe.

It's the left that calls the Constitution "trash."

It's the left that wants to defund the police

It's the left that promotes Marxist critical race theory

It's the left that wants open borders.

It's the left that says "America was never great."

Now that's extreme.

Speaking Of Extreme. . .

Democrat Rep. Tim Ryan, who will face off against J.D. Vance this November for the open Ohio Senate seat, went on Fox News last night.  And, of course, Roe v. Wade came up.

In a long back-and-forth with host Bret Baier, Ryan did his best to obfuscate the issue, but Baier repeatedly pressed him and eventually the truth came out.  Consider this exchange:

BAIER: "My question was about any limits to abortion at any point -- late-term, anything?"

RYAN:  "Look, you've got to leave it up to the woman."

So, there you have it.  No limits.

Many people feared that Ryan might be a formidable candidate in Ohio because he's gone to great lengths to cultivate a "moderate" image.  But he just exposed his pro-abortion extremism.

If Vance is smart, he will hammer Ryan as the abortion extremist in this race.  His statement puts him in the same league as Bernie Sanders and Gavin Newsom, but he's not in a radical state.  He's in the heartland of America.

Please help CWF elect more pro-life, pro-family, America First Conservatives to Congress!

Abortion & Big Business

Once again, woke corporations are doing their best to offend half the country in the pursuit not of profit, but radical agendas.

Several major corporations, including Amazon, Citigroup, Levi's, and Uber, are offering to pay up to $4,000 for travel expenses so employees in pro-life states can go kill their preborn children in pro-abortion states.

So, an Amazon employee in Texas could take an Uber to get an abortion in California.

I am pleased to report that Sen. Marco Rubio is sponsoring legislation to make sure that corporations are not claiming any tax benefits for these expenses.  In a statement, Rubio declared:

"Businesses should not receive tax breaks for radical leftist activism, especially when that activism jeopardizes our children.  Our tax code should encourage family formation and promote a culture of life.

"Instead, it too often encourages subsidies for the murder of unborn babies and the performance of horrific 'medical' treatments on kids.  I'm introducing legislation to eliminate this grotesque incentive.

The Senate Appeasement Caucus

There was a telling vote in the Senate yesterday regarding the Biden Administration's attempt to appease the radical regime in Iran with a new nuclear deal.

The resolution expressed opposition to any new deal with Iran that fails to address the regime's support for terrorism and its ballistic missile program.  It also expressed the Senate's opposition to lifting sanctions on the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a designated terrorist organization.

Incredibly, the Biden Administration has apparently considered lifting those sanctions, and the IRGC designation remains perhaps the last major point of contention.

While the resolution passed 62-to-33, it should have been 100-to-0.  Sadly, it revealed how large the appeasement caucus in the Senate has become.  One-third of the Senate, and nearly two-thirds of Senate Democrats, are willing to give Iran a pass for its state-sponsorship of terrorism!

Rand Paul was the only Republican to oppose the resolution.  While I admire Paul's tenacity during the COVID battle and on other critical issues, I was disappointed to see his vote on this resolution.  I hope to talk to him soon to understand his rationale.

National Day Of Prayer

Today is the 71st annual National Day of Prayer.  First established by Congress in 1952, President Ronald Reagan signed legislation in 1988 designating the first Thursday of May as a day of national prayer.

We certainly do need prayer now! Justice Samuel Alito was forced to cancel a public event due to threats, and left-wing mobs are planning to descend on the homes of conservative justices next week.

The theme for this National Day of Prayer is: "Exalt the Lord Who Has Established Us," based on the verse in Colossians 2:6-7.

Click here to learn more about the National Day of Prayer, to find events in your area or watch the national broadcast online, which airs at 8:00 PM ET.  The national broadcast will feature remarks from Anne Graham-Lotz, Jack Graham, Joni Eareckson Tada, Ronnie Floyd and many others.

Liberalism Kills

President Joe Biden's approval ratings are near historic lows because his left-wing policies are bad for America.  Out-of-control government spending results in skyrocketing inflation.  Liberal energy policies result in high gas prices.  That's bad enough.  But sadly, liberal policies can be far worse. In fact, they're deadly.
