Chaos In Kabul

Last night, as U.S. military forces were scrambling to evacuate Americans from Kabul by the August 31st deadline, officials once again warned American citizens to stay away from the Kabul airport. They also warned those at the gates to leave immediately due to a specific threat from ISIS.

This morning, ISIS attacked the Kabul airport in what the Pentagon described as a "complex attack."  There are reports of multiple explosions, and at least one suicide bomber.  The numbers continue to change, but as of now reports indicate that 11 U.S. Marines and one Navy medic were killed.

There are unconfirmed reports indicating that dozens of civilians were killed and more than 100 were wounded.  It's unclear at this time how many were Afghans and how many were Americans.

ISIS and the Taliban do not get along.  The radical Islamic world has many elements that disagree over Koranic interpretations and strategies.

But they are all united on the one thing that should matter most to us:  They believe Allah wants them to kill the infidel. The biggest infidels of all are Jews and Christians, Israel and the United States.

What the world witnessed at the airport today is, in my view, ISIS attempting to humiliate America as we're leaving because, until now, only the Taliban has been able to publicly humiliate us.

Biden has groveled before the Taliban for weeks, agreeing to its every demand.  A Taliban spokesman said yesterday that Osama bin Laden had nothing to do with 9/11.  President Biden surrendered to these thugs.

ISIS sees this weakness and is moving in to burnish its reputation as American infidel killers.  This morning's attack on the Kabul airport is ISIS telling Biden, "The Taliban says the evacuations must end on August 31st.  We're telling you that the evacuations end today."

My fear is that Biden may decide to do just that – end the evacuations and retreat as quickly as possible because he is terrified of the chaotic optics.  But just like the chaos at the southern border, he created the chaos in Kabul.

Sadly, one former Defense official believes the evacuations are over, telling the Washington Post, that "the necessary operational pause that will ensue from the bombing" is likely to "mark the de facto end of the formal U.S.-led noncombatant evacuation operation."

I wonder if Joe Biden still thinks he made "no mistakes" in his withdrawal plans.

All About Islam

After 9/11, young Americans ran to recruiting offices to volunteer for the U.S. military.  What we don't like to discuss is that many young Muslims were inspired by 9/11, and they rushed to join radical Islamic groups all over the world.

In the last 20 years, we defeated them on virtually every significant battlefield, and there was tremendous demoralization in their ranks.  Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden is dead.  Taliban leader Mullah Omar is dead.  ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi is dead.

But now Joe Biden has demoralized us and our allies.  And recent events are once again inspiring young radicalized Muslims all over the world.  There are new terror warnings in Europe and here in the U.S.  Al Shabaab, Al Qaeda, ISIS, Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad and the Taliban – all these groups will see a recruiting surge.

Anyone care to guess how the Pentagon's recruiting is going?

I don't see how Joe Biden can be president for three and a half more years.  After today's devastating news, I expect calls for his resignation and impeachment will grow louder.  And I am hoping that there are still serious Democrats who love America who will step up and say, "There is something wrong with Biden, and we must act."

The Refugee Crisis

The Biden Administration seems to be incompetent on so many things, but it sure is efficient when it comes to bringing two million migrants, refugees and illegal immigrants into the United States.  That's right – two million before the year is over.

Nearly 9,000 Afghan refugees have already arrived at Dulles International Airport, just outside of Washington, D.C.  I'm sure many are decent people.  But given the incompetence of this administration, I have zero confidence that they have been adequately vetted

And even if they have been "vetted" for security risks, I suspect many still harbor the prejudices that are so prevalent in the Muslim world, meaning that women are treated like property and that Jews and Christians are seen as enemies.  Even if they hate the Taliban, they still likely believe that every country should be under the rule of Islam.

So, once again, I fail to see how it is good public policy, even in the name of compassion, to bring in so many people who will find themselves at odds with basic American values and Western principles.

After going through Dulles, these refugees are headed to the Marine Corps base at Quantico, Virginia, and to the Army base at Fort Lee, south of Richmond.  We know the Biden Administration turned some military bases into day care centers for thousands of illegal aliens from more than 100 countries.  It is possible that we will have more Third World refugees on our bases than soldiers.

But I can just hear our elites chanting one of their sacred phrases now, "Diversity is our strength!"

What About The Americans?

Even before this morning's chaos in Kabul, Biden and his lackeys had dug in and refused to extend the deadline for getting Americans out of Afghanistan.  Why?  Because the Taliban told them to get out.  In fact, Biden had already started withdrawing U.S. troops again.

Meanwhile, they continue to do everything they can to confuse and manipulate the numbers so that no one has a clear understanding of exactly how many Americans were there and how many still remain stranded in Afghanistan.

You may have noticed that every sentence they speak has a qualifying phrase, "We will get every American who wants to leave out of Afghanistan."  Sen. Marco Rubio suggested this phrase is part of the big lie the administration will use to deflect criticism when we find out in a week or two that hundreds of Americans are still stranded in Afghanistan.  The White House will insist they didn't want to leave.

It is useful to remember that when Biden was the vice president, he was very concerned about getting an American out of Afghanistan.  Let me remind you again about Bowe Bergdahl

He was an Army traitor who abandoned his post.  His fellow soldiers risked their lives trying to find him.  But Obama and Biden believed that rescuing this traitor was so important they traded five Taliban leaders held at Guantanamo Bay prison for his release. Some of those freed terrorists are now gloating in Kabul.

Obama and Biden were so proud that they secured Bergdahl's freedom that they invited his parents to the White House to celebrate

It seems like they are only committed to rescuing Americans who aren't patriots.
