This Year In Jerusalem

It is hard to adequately express my happiness today.  Overcoming foreign threats and dissent within the U.S. government, President Trump today formally recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and began the process of moving the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

I am proud of this courageous act by President Trump. Not only does it correct the absurdity of the U.S....

Tuesday, December 5, 2017 - The Baker Case-Travel Ban Win

The Baker Case

The Supreme Court heard oral arguments this morning in the case Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission. The justices are considering whether the First Amendment forbids the state of Colorado from requiring a baker to make a cake for a same-sex wedding.

The case involves Jack Phillips, a Colorado baker who in 2012 told a same-sex couple that he would make a birthday cake for them but not a wedding cake.

He said that by...

How Deep Is The ‘Deep State’?
The news that a top FBI agent, involved in both the Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump investigations, is politically compromised is shocking.

The agent, Peter Strzok, was found to have sent text messages that expressed vehement anti-Trump views.  Strzok is not just any FBI agent.  The New York Times calls him “one of the most experienced and trusted FBI...

Not Again?!

An unexpected ruling by the Senate parliamentarian last night threw a last-minute glitch into the GOP's tax cut plans.  Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell was forced to suspend the "vote-a-rama" as the leadership scrambled to secure support from various holdouts, namely Senators Bob Corker (R-TN) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ).

Their concern is that government models suggest the...

Debate Begins

Yesterday evening, the Senate voted along party lines (52-to-48) to begin debate on the tax cut and reform plan.  That kicked off a tradition known in Washington as "vote-a-rama," in which dozens of amendments to tweak the bill will be voted on.

Some amendments will be substantive, many will be symbolic.  A final vote is expected late tonight or tomorrow....

Korea Crisis

North Korea's latest ballistic missile test set off alarm bells around the world.  Secretary of Defense James Mattis said the missile's trajectory suggests that the Stalinist regime is now capable of hitting targets "everywhere in the world," including every major U.S. city.

Sadly, President Trump's options are limited.  Past efforts by...

Another Radical Imam

In previous reports, we have told you about radical imams preaching hateful anti-Israel, anti-Semitic sermons at mosques in California and South Carolina.  Well, add Tennessee to that growing and disturbing list.

Here's just some of what Imam AhmedulHadi Sharif told his followers at the Islamic Center of Tennessee, located just south of...

Wednesday, November 22, 2017 -- Be Thankful

Be Thankful

I love Thanksgiving.  It's not just a day off work, a day devoted to parades and football, not even to turkeys and pumpkin pies. As the name makes clear, it is about giving thanks to God for the blessings we enjoy.

Thanksgiving traces its origins back to the Pilgrims -- those hardy pioneers who arrived on the shores of North America and, against all odds, carved a nation out of the wilderness. They came to the New World not seeking...
